Good call Dion, always finding the good'n'cheap:)

Day 24 after flip to 12/12

Feeding regularly every two days now, flowering is progressing good.
ZH clone is the fastest of the three, closely followed by ZH seed plant, the slowest is Cognition clone.

That's it from me for this year, to all ACE people(breeders, staff), all growers and afficionados - have a great end of year 2015 and an even better 2016!!!

Thank you very much Koondense :)
Wish you and yours have a happy, healthy and prosper 2016 too :huggg:

The Kali China male looks like the rare chinese sativa pheno ;)

The male really looked very interesting to my eye, so I let some of his pollen meet the flowers of my female plants. Got the branches labeled and fingers crossed for some healthy hybrid seeds.

Dubi, how does the Kali China cross with other varieties, is there to expect a more "sativa" progeny because of the parent male pheno? Thanks for any comment.

Cheers

i´d think that if you use KC in crosses, it is best to go after most hashplant structure and sativaish effect.it is there, and strenght.:)

After 29 days of 12/12

Noticed some fat calyxes on all plants, means the pollen did its thing. I'm pretty happy to make some seeds with the KC male.
Flowering goes on fairly well but not perfect, today I took off some dead fan leaves.
Also the ZamalHash clone is still yellowing, I think it's because of slow intake of food compared to high light intensity. She would require a fix, maybe a foliar feed session would be good. The problem is I don't know what product to get for foliar at this stage. Can anyone please help with suggestions?

Otherwise the buds look gorgeous and very resinous.
Less talk, more pictures:)

My main concern now is taking care of Zamal Hash clone's lack of green color(N def?).
If there is anyone able to help with this, I would really appreciate it. Only problem is I can't access many growing products, so let's go figure something out.

Cheers

Update on yellowing:

I did a bottom feed with biobizz grow/bloom mix and it seems to help, definitely better than top watering.
Think I'll keep bottom feeding them from now on.

You can also try Biobizz Algamic, its lovely and organic fert + produces odors which remindes me at Izola marina :)

LOL, no thanks:D

I have some worm castings and plagron biosupermix for making a tea and combine with biobizz. Next feed.

what i´ve found out with my two ZHs is that they flower faster than description says, and that fan leaves start to yellow from mid flowering onward. start at the bottom and progress from there, i have one zamal reunion which has similar trait, i´ll take some pics and add them later. so i would not worry too much. P.S. you are lucky to have kali china male, it will make good crosses i bet.

You saying a mix of two Plagron soils?
I was considering this, instead went the biobizz way.

Next run will definitely be different, not sure what is better - rich soil or light soil+nutes?

P.S.
inside the tent it's starting to stink nicely:)
All three plants have a different resin smell at this point, obviously very different lineages and terpene production.
The Zamal Hash from seed has a gorgeous lemon+pine spicy aroma, ZH clone is more dank and very sticky. Cognition has a fresh floral lemony smell, I like them all in different ways.

Full update coming tomorrow.

Zamal Hash clone is very sticky and smells dank, hashy and a bit cheesy.
Some branches got pollinated and are making a few seeds, here is the sinsemilla part of the plant.

Zamal Hash Bunny's aroma is more to my taste, lemon hash and pines are the most developed smells so far.

Cognition has the most airy bud structure, clusters on long colas will be a pleasure to see when finished.
Slow to flower and fill up but the progress is noticable, will go around 80-85 days I think, hard to predict.

And a view of the whole tent, the budlands:)

I think this is the middle of the way until the first plant will be harvested, probably the ZH clone.
I'll gradually lower the grow nutrients and go to straight bloom in the next two-three weeks.

Have a great time:tiphat:

Hey Koon, lovely update! Your leds are working great, what is the optimum distance between them and buds?

Thanks Kono,
Had some light burn at around 12cm, so I think the sweet spot is around 20-25cm.
I have them 20-30cm above the plants, no lenses or reflectors.

I had some trouble with the organic top soil I added few weeks ago, it was contaminated with fungus gnats eggs and the flies spread intensely last week. I dealt with them by putting sticky trap tape and honey based traps inside the tent, just the way it's done on fruit trees and cattle stables.
Worked perfectly, there are hundreds of glued flies and only a few flying around.
The plants didn't care about gnats and are flowering nicely.

Zamal Hash clone is fattening up, the colas are getting huge. Seems like they got some pollen and are blossoming more around the parts where seeds are being grown. So some are getting a crown shaped top which is interesting to see.

The Zamal Hash from seed is flowering faster judging by pistil color and will be a gorgeous smoke, the smell is very exciting to my taste.
Here is a couple of branch tops.

By the looks I think she will be first to finish.

The Cognition takes her time, still mostly white hairs and not full buds but they're getting better.
Will probably need some support for a couple of colas when they gain weight, also most leaves have burned tips because of some sort of overfertilisation.
It's hard to control the yellowing once it starts, the organic nutrients are probably to slow to address such problems after they occur. So next time it will be mineral ferts or more organic grow ferts in veg phase.

Koondense. That "from seed" zh look like the pheno I have. If it is, u are in for quite a special treat! I would have to check my notes, but I think I chopped by day 60. It could have gone a little more, but It was getting reveged so Itook it at mostly cloudy, few clear, few amber.

....got her reveged now and have some more about half way through flower now. Can't wait to have this zh back into a jar. Truely a special plant! Props to dubi and the ace crew.
