Have you grown any out? What makes you say this? I grew some out and found hay phenos and a massive yielding 20+ week pheno that gave a 10-15 minute head rush, nothing more. I couldn't smoke it and couldn't give it away.................I was pretty disappointed because I'd wanted to grow it for so long. The flavors on the long pheno were quite nice, creamy vanilla incense and earth. I kept the huge turkey bag full of buds around for a year, testing every few months, before turning them into mediocre hash oil.
Everything about it screamed f2 or f3 with poor selections along the way, but maybe I just had bad luck?
I know for a fact that this strain isn't "yuck" when the right plant is found. Just have to wonder if it's possible to find her anymore.
Chernobyl sucks. Maybe an outdoor strain? First run looked ok no smell, second looked great still no smell, now a friend who knows what he is doing is running it and guess what, no smell and his is all over the place growing hella weird. He hates it, but I guess that means a bunch of chernobyl oil.

dramamine: i never got the vanilla pheno, just the hashplant bland flavor. i crossed her with purple sativa and got a fruit flavor. every time i smoked this "riders of the purple sage" song would go through my mind. i also bred a female to a cali orange and that was nice.

this is another that really dissapointed me; genetics of the managusata valley thunder, then the thunderfuck. spelling is wrong but close as i can get. alaskan strain, short flower, high THC, smooth taste. rare to find now. very cold resistant akin to swiss miss.

Hands down BLUE CHEESE.
Smoked it in Dam and it tasted great...not very strong.
Grew it twice and it tasted great...but still not very strong. Regrettably
I had a lot of it for stash and found it best when mixed with AK-47.
This is the only strain I have given up on.

wow, ive got the chunk and just harvested the 1st one, not very strong odor but its hellah potent, hoping the clones will produce as much....not much luck with yours?
lots of people had mediocre results with the SD IBL release....found a few nicer phenos in there but they lacked the punch of a real deal sour...
im kinda dissapointed in SSSDH...my friend found a nice cut of it, gave it to me. grew it outdoors and it took a little too long for my liking, came out very airy and fluffy so kind of poor yield. taste was fruity but kind of generic and nothing too crazy...
growing her indoors and shes densing up a little better, but still just seems lackluster compared to some of the other strains im running..
also killer queen was dissapointing. reminds me of green crack just generic fruity weed...
blackberry kush...super frosty but lacks a punch and lacks a strong smell...once again, that same fruity smell/taste that just doesnt do it for me...

9 males and 1 female and you didnt report it to the seedbank you bought from? no wonder every1 else had poor luck. if i got less then 4/10 females, the seedbank heard about it. they have a contact us link; those that dont i never buy from.

No desire to stir up any shit. But at that time ( 2006), any criticism of that strain which was selling like hot cakes, led to either being attacked, blamed for poor growing skills or an outright ban.
I've learned a lot in the DJ Short forum here, so... it's a wash.
What I did learn is that good breeders don't need to hype, or bully, the work speaks for itself and is reasonably priced. I fell for the hype and got suckered into buying it. Happens to the best of us.
