I got a genuine chem dawg D pheno cut from a trusted buddy, and either it was possessed, or I have a black thumb with the dawg, because it was one of the scraggliest, sickly, skinny, foxtaily, weak smokes I have had in a while.
I didn't even bother keeping a mother, I just let it go.

just looked at this thread and from all the posts the top 3 worst over rated strain breeders are ,Nirvana , DP and greenhouse seed co .
Yeah, doesn't surprise me. Dp have always been junk, their fems have been hermie ridden since day one and some of their strains are outright garbage such as Blueberry, they took the 50 seeds DJ gave them and ruined it, freaks, mutants and runts galore. GHS, well, since shanti left, they have put anything arjan can buy in into their packs, crap from ingemar and other hacks. Nirvana surprises me as I've had plenty of good plants from Nirvana, but they buy in seeds from all over the place too so it;s probably a lottery and i guess what's actually in the packs has changed over time.

I popped 5 beans way back when... freebie pack... got 4 females...the ones I liked the most were the grapefruit leaning phenos, which much like sweet tooth were weak as fuck potency-wise... The strong phenos yielded good and had no taste. Soooo bland.
I've also grown out krome's "legendary" blockhead cut, and it's good for commercial production and not much more. Very strong, good bag appeal, yielded pretty well, and super bland taste and smell. Been dropped by everyone I know around here
Blockhead isn't bad herb, just overrated...
"The white" is also pretty overrated in my opinion.... frosty as hell, strong as hell, and it takes a 2 month cure to get good flavors... no thankyou....

i have grown many nirvana strain and never cry a shit river because of the variations , in the end i always had very nice buds well DIALED . a lot of variation , true but crap ? i beg to differ
i cannot figure on how somebody can said the ak 47 from serious was their worst strain ?
or a rez strain ??? mr nice ????
ive read people said ak 48 from nirvana sucked...bubleicious ? weird there dozen of positive reviews just for these strains all over the net ...then you got a guy with 23 watt cfl whit 1 seeds screaming is lungs these strain are the worst .
some of the worst strain comment are just ludicrist in some case , i will hurt a few ego here.....dont blame the world if some of you screwed the basic of growing...
greenhouse is pointed very often for their old sativa line , i have a few of their strain now , the more recent and contrary to the majority , i put greenhouse on probation on my positive list . for the price a pack of the church was a blast , 20 $ for a very tasty and frosty strain that was fun to grow . the thing they call the trainwreck is just another very nice smoke and very affordable . the lemon skunk is awesome for 30 $ . i dont want to hear the debate and all , fact is i had some beans from gh that produced excellent stuff .
if i compare with my last sensi seeds run that 90 % didn't germ for 200 $ of seeds that are not the shadow of what they used to be . greenhouse gave me better result for a fraction of the $ as well as nirvana and many other breeder .

reeferman, hell i was a beta tester in is first days in bc and i had total bomb out of every pack but is move to a-dam was not a success on the seeds side . i didn't hear from him since 2 years and never replied my email since then ? still got confidence in is work, read zoolander opinion about is genetics . i say is strain are not for noobs at all . too easy to screw and dial the wrong number

How many phenos did you run of white satin?? Its actually been a great strain to me, so suprised to find someone thinks its crap...

DP blueberry. 4females out of 5 seeds (yay!) 2 completely mutilated hayplants, one with loads of ballsacks. 1 slightly mutilated trifoliate whom went slightly hermie on me. last one was well above average but kinda downer couz it didn't didn't turn blue at all (well.. the stem went purple) although i kept night temps around 15-17C. don't only want to bash, the one i kept was definitely good smoke and a decent yielder, also me and my buddy were pretty newbies back then. BUT.. looking at the price tag and comparing it to the other strains we had back then (white label super skunk and some self-produced northern lights from a friend) i wouldn't grow it again.. sorry DP, haven't given your seeds another chance in few years because of this "incident".

aparently the fucking ak-47 is no more ...wierd in 2004 i had a pack of f2 and i had 3 cherry pheno, the other strain that was almost similar to the ak-47 cherry was the old circa 2005 reeferman cherry bomb 2 .
i hate to be that old and have all these years of experience....im a point that i would like to run strains i did 15-20 years ago and they all seems to be total garbadge from what ive read .
its just disturbing ...sensi,serious who else in the old breeder want to go to hell next ?

Sadly AK47 is crap nowadays compared to the old one, Simon worked it to be more indica and that removed the spicy sativa pheno and the cherry pheno and made it bland. They say kali Mist is not as good as it used to be either. Chronic and White Russian i think yield huge but aren't good in the smoke department, potent but boring and lacking in flavour. Bubblegum has great phenos but you might not find a great one in a single pack. I had a friend that grew nothing but Serious, and he's been trying other stuff last couple of years as the strains have changed.
How much of a role does senescence play in the downward spiral of known strains?? Especially in cuts. When I was doing tissue culture work it was well understood that senescence was an ever present danger and had to be dealt with. All of these people passing around cuts of cuts of cuts...Unless people have access to the original mom it seems to me that degradation is the ultimate outcome. Reinvigorating seed stock through hybridization is great, but unless done with knowledge and skill it all becomes one big muddy mess. My guess is that the gene pool is getting dirtied up quite a bit.

Good to see you finally realise that the likes of sensi seeds have gone from a great seedbank to a piece of shit company... i recall a while back you were defending sensi in "THE FLYING DUTCHMEN TAKEOVER THREAD" and now you see why i was complaining about them thank fuck for that , because i liked sensi and just had to admit to myself that they arent what they were sadly.

As for serious seeds...never had a problem with them...but if your sayin theyve gone downhill ive no reason to disbelieve you, now do you see i wasnt being malicious when i said sensi had gone downhill??
I kinda think it's all relative. Thinks may have changed, but change isn't always bad . . . .
Never grown it but NYDiesel has always been a let down for me when smoked
