Here are a few bagseed i grew next to some cotton candy kush on day 35...

Wow! In that context the differences between that particular bagseed and the cck are so evident!

Of course, some bagseed is pretty lush , just the luck of the draw i guess.

This definitely is the most illustrative comparison i have ever seen between random bagseed and labor-intensive breeding.

Great job on this.

I still am anxious to see if the bagseed gets it's 'legs' as it continues through to maturity.....

i've grown bagseeds that turned into the most beautiful sativa ladies i've ever seen. I had a bagseed plant that i just harvested recently that came from mexican weed and had really nice dense buds that smelled just like minute maid frozen orange juice concentrate. i loved it, wonderful sativa high. i had little beads of sweat forming on my forehead.

i really didn't like el nino. I had 10 seeds and all of them popped. i had 7 hermies, 1 male and 2 females. the two females looked very similar and smoked like hemp. I know people have found phenos in el nino that they like, but i had bad luck with them for sure.

This thread is funny. Its like all the strians that I always thought about growing seems to be crappy for most people.
I cant say that Ive grown any bad bud. Everything that I grew had a good and bad characteristic.
But the only one I grew that I was a little dissapointed with was Hashberry. I only grew 2 to for a little closet grow, and one was a dude. So I ended up with one and all I got was an oz. It tasted like a weak retarded version of bubblegum and got me high, but not ripped, and the high only lasted like an hour and a half. But I am growing 2 more Hashberrys currently. I topped one and its a little bush, while the other one is growing un-topped. I want to see which way will yield more.
Anyways, I hope it goes better than last time.

For me, it was The Hog from TH Seeds...

The Hog was just a hog for my money. I never felt so stupid in my life as when I shelled out over $125 for these bullshit seeds. It will certainly be a cold day in hell when I recommend them to someone else. I may not have gotten my money back, but I sure as shit have had my revenge for the laissez-fair attitude of the merchants of the seed empire.

Funny thing. The strains I have paid the least for have always turned out the best. I don't know why it is, but there seems to be no correlation (or at least on correlation in the 6 years of my growing career) between the amount you spend on seeds and the amount of satisfaction the resulting plants produce.

Big money does not necessarily equal big satisfaction when it comes to the seed business. Unfortunately, there are too many unscrupulous operators out there and what you get is what you get and what that has to do with what you paid may be two entirely different matters for which you can only hope there is an honest effort.

Wow ,I guess it must be hard to get a good pheno of the Hog.

I was just given a cut of it a couple of weeks ago.

My friend had a mother of it that he lost and knew what pheno he wanted.

So he started over and germed a ton of seeds and started searching.

He said he had to go through 80 plants before he found the right one.lol

He is tenacious and did not want to settle on an inferior pheno.

He had the beans and the time.lol

But nobody should have to buy ten packs of seeds just to get the primo pheno.lol

Nobody else has mentioned "Odyssey"But I had terrible luck with that strain.

Odyssey was a clone from blue sky.

It had a tendency to hold on to its nutes and needed an extra long flush at the end.Information that would have been useful had I been forewarned.lol

Harvested buds that would not burn at all in a joint and just turned into charcoal in a pipe.ugh!!!

I will never waste my time on bagseeds again......they are only good for practicing gemination methods on...IMO.

Bag seeds VS papaya seed in the middle...(all conditions were equal)

Nirvana seeds - nl x bb

9 out of 10 were male

The one female I got had very very low potency and terrible taste I gave it away to a bud and he ended up throwing it out. foxtail buds that looked like wheat.

not bashing nirvana I grew out their bubblicious next to the nl x bb and got fantastic results

Another disappointment which i was really looking forward to growing was rez's SD IBL out of 6 seeds i got 3 males and 3 fem's ,all the females showed some hermaphroditic signs,the worst started putting full blown male flowers out after 2-3 weeks bloom the second worst started at week 6 with the top half producing good sized buds,while lower down it just went mental with banana's popping out of every bud on the bottom third of the plant which i just removed and ended up with a nice smoke and the third fem just put out a few banana's late on but i'm sure the pollen isn't viable so i've kept her for a second run with cuttings from the third plant to see how they do as i've had a few varieties put out bananas in the last few weeks of bloom which i put down to there survival mode kicking in trying to produce the next from not being pollinated.

That's only from growing 3 fem's from the SD IBL that i've grown . I've seen some great plants from other growers but also others have complained about ladyboy's from the SD IBL line as well.
If Rez can sort the intersexed plants out he'd be on to a right winner as they are quite potent plants with massive calyxes,real nice trichome production with a great calyx to leaf ratio which make them a breeze to trim.

SOUR DIESEL is about the worlds #1 Hybrid Strain. Where you been under a rock? if you grew crummy plants mate its not the breed of the seed. You saying Rezdog has to do this and that to make it just right for you. Then you realise that its good and potent and fat glands and just great stuff.

Nope doesn't sound like he dissing anything..He stating what lots of other have said already ,he talking like a seed breeder ,and telling you how it is.

Hey same here i grew Rez's Quick Mist outdoors 2 years ago...not impressed at all..very light smoke..airy buds...not great yield at all...very disappointing all around..I thought it would be a great outdoor strain..i was wrong...

yup hermies on almost every plant. the bits of bud on them when i rushed to cut them down was pritty good, not the point though. i had the exact same experience as chefboy6969 but i grew quick mist indoors, it smelt and tasted like beef! really weird

I dont think its fair to judge any breeder based on 10 seeds, so i dont

I've actually had really good results with bagseeds in the past. The worst for me must be Hawaiian Sativa (landrace) bagseed. Simply because it couldn't finish where I'm located. I had to terminate them way too early and they produced immature micro buds that had a beautiful purple tint... wasn't worth smoking it though. But it made a very small batch of decent acetone hash so it paid off as a cool experiment from which I learned something anyway.

Anything nirvana, yes I am going to bash nirvana. This was when you could request nirvana freebies on various seedbanks and mostly bulk so who knows what it really was but Widow, Rhino, Ice, NL and AI all waste of time, space and bulb life. I am still baffled when I see people talk about the great nirvana they have. But that was then and this is now. Might just order some horror or 48 someday, get it in original pack see if I need to redraw conclusions.

Bagseed. Shitty taste, fleeting high, insane tolerance, been throwing some kief on it to make it worthwhile.....but the keif even seems to be lacking any significant high after 30-45 minutes.
