i really liked the bluebird aswell.
big cozy place.
the jack herer had my freaking out, strong weed!
pink floyd was good.
i enjoyed the hp-13 from amnesia.
only place i didnt like was the grasshopper, dont remember if it was 1 or 2.
it was right off the water off rokin (i believe)
their service sucked and they didnt have papers out or grinders.
you couldnt use em for nothing.
unlike most places, they wanted you to buy them

The Grashopper is the worst rip-off ever. They try to over weigh, in order to sell more, and put in shake. The budtender is rude.
Avoid at al costs.
Favorites near there are Home Grown Fantasy, Grey Area, Pink Floyd, Barneys early in the morning or evening. Bluebird of course. But then stop by Pollinator Company at Nieuwe Herengracht 25. They don't sell, but you can free sample the results of their bubbleator hash maker. (They also sell seeds, hard to find books, live psych-tropic plants, etc.)
But since one is that close to the train station, hop on 15 minute ride to Haarlem and go to Willie Wotals, Thee Huis, or the one (name?) north of the train station.

I live here and I must say there are plenty of quality coffeeshops off the beaten path. Katsu is always consistant with fine products. I am hoping to add some full-melt to their menu soon!!!

all true, happened to me to. also at the greenhouse centrum if you ask for a gram they sometimes give you ten euros worth instead (for products that cost less than 10€/g, i mean, and of course you have to pay 10 euros).
the good side of the greenhouse centrum is that at least they sell half grams if you ask.

I havent' been to each and every of the famous coffeeshops, but out of those I've been to I've liked Pink Floyd the most. Stones Corner's good aswell. De Dampkring and Abraxas always seem to be too full. :(

Then there are a lot of cosy small shops around the ldr, but those names i forgot.

It's been 10 years. I need to get back there soon. Amsterdam is a blast.
Off the top of my heads:
Pink Floyd---great for fresh squeezed juices
Barneys-----I like too start the morning here
Siberie----- Dank herb and great backgammon
Gray area--Dank
Blue bird---Dank
Greenhouse--Dank
homegrown fantasy----Good food and backgammon
Tweetie bird--near the V. park
Consious Dreams----shrooms for the park.
Free world---Darts and beer

Pancake house---Holy cow. Not a coffee shop, but around 60 different pancakes. I love this place mon.

So many more great ones. Positive vibrations.

This guy in there told me Black Domina was an up-high smoke, and when I gently tried to explain to him that he was about as wrong as he could be, I realized he didn't have a clear concept of what a Sativa or an Indica was.

Just in the defense of the bloke working there, although the Black Domina is known primarily as an indica, it does have a fairly common sativa pheno that has a nice up high..

I will Second ANYDAY. It will be the first shop that I visit next time I go. The weed I saw in that shop looked better then any of the larger shops.
The vaporizors are nice too.

agreed rufi , basjoes another nice place , they do a good fresh super pollem,
also dubis choices you cannot go wrong in any choice there, although i prefer my weed or hash to be measured /cut fresh rather then preweigh bags(katsu and bluebird) what do others prefer?
