This is the way I see it:

1st Place - greenmatter - frostiness, ingenuity, yield
2nd Place - joe guy - ingenuity, no dance space in the shed
3rd Place - Persephone - just look at it, that's a really nice lil yogi

3rd was harder to pic. Went with lack of problems, overall appearance, not losing track of the bud, finishing on time, etc.

Bmans right - we all win.

Cheers wildgrow, I have to agree with your first and second placings....greenmatter and joe have certainly shown what's possible, and how far boundaries can be pushed .....now don't forget, I was runnin' a ring in since my original entry turned out to be a male and I scratched him....so I can't claim an official place.

I'm keen to see how glory's finishes
bugman, you had a couple of nice plants there at one stage
Avi...I can remember that yours never really got goin at the start for some reason

Yeah, third place.....maybe it's a multi photo finish for 3rd....were all winners, and slightly better gardeners for the experience...

Certainly got me thinking about developing better root systems in smaller containers....I'm sure I've read somewhere....it's not so much the size of the roots, but more their ability to uptake nutrients.....

Excuse me, I'm sampling the results as I type......

I was in a pro mix with a pinch of coco so yeha more feedings
Equals big sticky nugs lol feed it more with a full strength nute with
A lot of run off and you avoid salt build ups and a constant supply
Of nutrients they take off..
I'm Gona have to go thru post here tonite but gm is my first place
Vote ill have to see who gets my second and third.. I'd feel weird if I voted
For my self lol... But thanks everybody for the votes damn I feel special lol,
Also Gona have to get some dried shots I still have close to 7 grams I think
Gave a buddy a gram and half cause he didnt think small pots could
Produce potent pot lol.. Aww I love the here u tell me stfu effect
Yogi buds have on non believers lol... This was fun thanks guys

So what is the lesson here?

there was more than 1 for me (thanks guys!) ..........

:biggrin:here goes..... :scripture:the one i have learned in both yogurt and beer cups is that when we push the limits TOGETHER we can all learn something. we do not have to do everything the same and act like a bunch of fucking groupies to have some fun. there should sure as hell be a lesson in that if you look at it for what it is

rant off

no pics yet but i did get numbers

afgan kush #2 @ 13.3 grams

sour cream @ 14.7 grams

afgan kush #1 @ 21.1 grams

i have already busted out the big box of crayons and gone back to the drawing board:canabis: i'll be back with the new improved mouse trap in the next round trying to get an ounce out of a yogurt cup. it might be senseless and it might even be meaningless but it's a goal right? .......... that and a friend of mine said there is no fucking way i can do it. FWIW the best way to inspire me is to tell me that i "can't" accomplish something. that and the fact i love to see the doubters eating crow make being a stubborn asshole almost effortless:tiphat:

thanks to elfstone for the crazy idea, Avi for a willingness to herd stoned cats, and thanks to all the other stoned cats!

joe guy - Hi.

"a lot of run off and you avoid salt build ups and a constant supply
Of nutrients they take off"

I bottom feed and feed very little to avoid buildup. At most it is a good practice to flush once into flower and ride it out to a flush. I am cheap and hate to waste nutes.

Don't you mind the waste?

No since there is other girls in the room in bigger smart pots that take the extra, and what ever is run off goes in to the peach tree or one of the vegetables so its not really too much waste.. And another thing I will only make up .5 and some time .25 gal..( 64 oz or 32 oz Gatorade bottle) if the bigger smart pots are still nice and moist..

what kind of material did you use for your smart pots joe? any drawbacks too using them?

it sure looks like they worked!
