this green energy thing is a misnomer.. so many people saying the science says this and that, spewing the implanted faith based absolutism rhetoric around, and they dont know shit about science just that they have been told that co2 is bad, in dangerously high concentrations and that its there because of us as individual sheeple,, none of which are true.. in terms of environmental damage co2 doesnt even compare to most things you can think of in everyday products, it is regulated by probably the oldest processes on the planet the carbon cycle and volcanism.. so they bring in carbon tax,, wait for the fresh air and clean water taxes, fat tax, happyness tax, soul tax, child tax, animal and plant growing tax, smiling tax.. you wouldnt believe, or maybe you would, how many taxes we have in the uk, just to run a simple business the amount of hoops you have to jump through is ridiculous thesedays and they cook up more charges and taxes everyday..

and there isnt a shortage of oil either just a manufactured slow down in drilling and production for the markets to help throw the noose around our necks.. so many places are still untouched but privately surveyed already and shown to be oil bearing and the rights already sold off,, with the usual suspects popping up as shareholders in nwo drilling corporations mostly all with luciferian names, because naptha came from the morning star, fiery rain, probably sounds strange but lucifer/prometheus is the planet venus and they obviously know where it really came from because they and their cabal are the reason most people dont know anything about it, all of the oil logos are symbolic of the planet venus.. for many sites they just need some sort of mass slaughter to clear all the bothersome people that call the land "home"..

if people want to swap their rights and sanity for it then so be it, its their folly to make, but the impacts of it on a large scale as it is unquestioned by the next generations coming through are horrific..

with this, the war on drugs/terrorism and the internet we will probably lose every single natural and human right in the next 50 years..

Interesting. So if the bill passes, then it's a mandatory doubling of rates? Is there any way to opt out of an increase (short of moving)? Has there been any talk of the bill being challenged on the grounds that the ratification of said bill would result in the Energy brokers functioning as a legal oligopoly?

I'm not talking about optional upgrades, I'm talking green energy that is forced on you by your local government. The story that sparked this is being billed as a wind tax. It's for the state of Maryland to pay for an off shore wind farm in the Atlantic. If passed everyone getting electricity from all the major power providers in the area will be forced to pay nearly double what they pay now per killowatt hour for the next 25 years. Unfortunately not everyone can afford to go GeoThermal or aren't in the right location. Nor can everyone afford to go solar or set up their own wind turbines. When they asked state residents what they thought the only voices saying it was a good thing because it's better for the environment were people who could afford to absorb the extra cost. So I wanted to see what the general consensus was here because I know alot of members are from the hippie movement days and improving the environment was a big cause back then. I was curious as to whether or not those sorts of causes hold up for people when it's not so convenient?

electricity should be free ... it is immoral to charge people for power when it can certainly, technologically, be free.

how much cost would it wring out of the economy if power were free? 50%? 80%?

No! I'm already taxed 60 cents of every dollar I make. Then I have to pay even more taxes spending the 40 cents I have left.

Global warming is being used (conditioned) to give the gov authority to tax and regulate even more. I liberal wet dream of sorts...

how's about simply using less energy?...a transition to LED lighting would get rid of the mercury of CFL's and LED's use lot less electricity...and the LED bulbs last forever.

as a side note I don't agree with reducing movements (or people) to a color, can we call it sustainable energy?

Start small using supplemental green energy. LED bulbs, solar panels, insulation, caulk, 49cc scooters, bicycle, etc.
