Just stopped by to bust your balls!!! I know i have made many mistakes but as long as you learn from them you should be fine. ive killed almost as many plants as i have grown over the past ten years. I still make mistakes.

You Know it is kind of funny the things we do. I'm in florida and it's been cold for us here lately. I'm talkin high 30's low 40's. My plants are in the garage and it gets cold in there. So I decided to put my fan on a timer. Problem is I had to go to work the next day and I had put the light and the fan on a power strip that I wasn't too sure about. So the next morning I went to work before the lights were supposed to come on and all of a sudden it hits me, I don't know that the lights are gonna come on like they're supposed to. So I call the house to ask my wife to check on the plants but she's already gone, so I had to wait 12 hours before anyone could check on them. Man was I sweating all day. Lucky that everything worked out ok or I would be talking about a grow gone bad too.

Well, if the heater goes off for some reason then our garden will go -20c and worse, outside temps yesterday -27c...

Natty, glad ya liked the sample pods and extra glad ya got some relief from them. I know the nausea was kickin yesterday. Just goes to show A) that ol BOG's genetics produce good smoke even when abused :tup:
and that your average Joe Chefknife with a small grow can produce a higher quality smoke than most of that commercial crap that's out there...like that shit we've been smokin the last couple days, eh natty? *cough*
OH BOY, just wait till ya try that SM. I'll be lightin up a couple nugs on Sunday, then I'll probably drop in to the ol Smokeyreport forum and report on it. This is a real nice potent sativa. Real pretty nugs too if ya don't try to freeze em!
I'll be choppin that sativa probably Monday. Just gettin the last of the nutes all flushed out and lettin her pot go dry as she heads into her 48 hours darkness. Here's a couple shots of some of that Sativa's buds Not entirely in focus, but hey, still tryin to figure out this loaner camera.. just glad to have it. These buds are a bit better formed than some of the ones on the other 2 plants. mostly because of the longer flowering time, which gave it more time to bounce back. The photos don't do her justice. She's frosty as can be. I'll try to get a shot of these couple trimmed dry nugs.

LR crop report for the Farmer

Farmer John asked for a bit more of a report on the Lowryder, so here goes a look at my one current Lowryder which nears harvest, and some gratuitous beauty shots of last year's Lowryder.
The cross I grow is Lowryder/MasterkushxLR X Lowryder/MasterkushxLR
It is a pretty well stabilized LR cross and is some good smoke when given the right conditions. With the latest batches of seeds I've produced, there's like 75% autoflowering (or better).
Give it some room to stretch it's roots and tons of light and it'll make ya happy.
I suggest growing them in your veg chamber so they get 18+ hours of light all the way through. The fems that don't auto flower can go the the flower chamber. The ones that do can stay in the veg cab for the rest of their existance.
This 1 LR plant I have this year was just part of a test run of some seeds and is currently under 12/12 light. Has been since it started autoflowering. You'll see that it's not nearly as thick and resinous as the ones I had under the 400 HPS in 18/6 last year. SO... first a shot of this year's LR about 3 weeks ago, standing next to a 16 ounce water bottle fulla nutes...just for scale.
Then a couple closeups of this year's girl, including the seeded branches..look for the beans! :smile:
THEN the gratuitous shots of last year's beautiful resinous girl. It ended up a little over a half ounce of dense sticky nuggage. You'll see on the closeups she sometimes gives some beautiful pink and purple hairs, a gorgeous contrast to those deep dark grren leaves.
This year's might only hit about 8-10 grams(because of the shorter light sched.) Still enough to mature the beans, and make with the mature resin glands....which I might just turn into hash or oil ...hmmmm. Given the right conditions I'd bet one could crank out three quarters to an ounce from one plant in 60-65 days seed to chop.
Recently I just started another 12 beans, half of which were pollinated by a Northern Lights. We'll see how that goes.
I always let them grow straight up as is, but I did experiment with topping a couple. Sometimes works, sometimes not. One of them came up with 3 perfectly symmetrical tops...male tops of course

OK, since my worst grow ever...I had some clones from the plants featured in the WGE thread. Grape Punch and Sativa Mexicana. Some clones I gave away to friends, some I kept.
At the time I had these clones, I had plants flwoering at 12/12, and had no seperate veg cab.
SO, I kept the clones alive in a makeshift area with a weak single flouro to get them rooted and put on at least a LITTLE bulk, and then pretty much threw them right into flowering.
They were very small going into flower, and stayed pretty short. The largest of the group, a sativa probably only got to a foot and a half tall.
The good news is...I did NOT manage to freeze, clobber, underfeed, overfeed, or do anything bad to these 4 little clones I kept. Though small, they flowered nicely. Good sized dense nugs, VERY frosty. As always the Sativa's buds are some of the most colorful and fragrant I've seen in a while.
The bad news is, I don't currently have a camera, so no nice budshots for ya this time out. But, figured I'd report back on my garden so yall didn't think I was still murderin plants over here :smile: It seems the Worst Grow Ever was an isolated incedent and not part of a pattern of plant abuse
So at least I have a few jars full of tasty nugs.
Next up in cookie's kitchen....
as I often do, I've been playing with some of my Lowryder projets. Started with some of Mdanzig's crosses and have been tampering with them a bit. I've been growing the Lowryder/Masterkushx Lowryder for a while. This time out, I'm growing out some that I pollinated with a Northern Lights pure Indica male. They seem to be doing well. I'll report back.
After that, my little veg cab is quickly filling up with Sour bubble Bx2, G13, and KGB
Hopefully it'll be my BEST GROW EVER!
and hopefully by then I'll have a camera for some nice budshots.

SB, G13, and KGB sound like a great run to me! Life has a way of balancing out, betcha your next grow will be stupendous.

I'm pretty green on 00420 - my first attempt growing clones I fried 'em in alkaline soil ! I actually saved 2 that for shits and giggles I'm keeping for moms, but man they've been growing since early feb, took em nearly 2 months to get back on their feet.

Ugh... I went through a few expensive packs of seeds before i Figured out the Water Softner was killing them......... Damn... that sucks when your trying to figure out what your doing wrong and its right under your house the whole time...... Ick. Let alone they were good strains and from an Expensive bank as well...... So I got the double price wammie! Im starting to tinker with the lowryder......its myy first grow, this it really just the grow out as many F'ing seeds as you can Phase.
