Summtin about quitters and summtin,,,, I ferget.

Bubba,,, I can't count the number of plants I killed getting started. And while painful. those initial lessons stayed with me for a long time. - And I never got a plant to grow in a box. Don't sell yourself short.

You know you wana figure this out.........

trust me ive got it figured but my issue is i need to stop trying to work around the problem and actually attack it head on. face the music if you will and i figure i might as well since its gonna be for the better in the long run.

i can frame out a room, i can run the wiring, i can ventilate how i need to, sheetrock and all that, so when i get the funds up not only will i have a place to grow but i'll have a comfortable pseudo-mancave when im done.

so yeah, ive gotta step back, get to designing and get it all one shot! run panel boxes for power, insulate basically just finish the garage and call it a day.

Give up your handle, that is fine, and reinvent yourself. BUT...don't ever give up growing!!!!!! Even the masters have bad runs.....it's ok. You are one step closer to becoming a master, cause you now know what doesn't work. It is all trial and error, my friend, til you find what works best for you. A name is just a name, and can be changed, but a passion for the plant...that won't change. You are just discouraged right now, but you are not alone....your fellow growers, are right here with you. Ask me how many times I have said I am going to stop......and I said it everytime I had a bad run. You are a GROWER, and don't ever give up. the GANJA Gods are just fuckin' with you.......but soon they will shower you with THC. Much love, my friend, and keep that chin up, and start all over again!!!!!

awwwwe man, im gonna miss you while im gone and you know why!!!! REEEALLY wanted to make it to those events, but maybe we'll meet in another arena.

before it was the feeding regime in soil and i fixed that, decided to go DWC/lucas formula and it was all fine tuned and i realized i was at the point where now i need to start investing in quality genetics cause because i never knew or "got" what the genetics game was about until now after growing out these NL. and NO not everyone's (breeders/seed companies) NORTHERN LIGHTS is the same!!! always thought i could get by with what i got and that was a lesson i learned with this grow

i wish i had pics of the systems. so much work and time, studying, watching, emulating, DIY'ing and finally got everything down. white tops with black containers, best tools i ever created.

i have a tendency to ramble so i'll just leave it at this: just because your standing under an umbrella during the rain doesn't make the clouds go away nor does it keep you from getting wet.

Cool man, you don't quit then. You just regroup and change strategy for the next round. Back in the saddle.

i agree completely. i had one defining moment in my life where i stopped seeing things as good or bad and started thinking in terms of what to do and not do for the next time

yeha, i began to think about it and i was in a stationary rutt, and realizing that there was no way around my dilemma but tackle it straight on.

if i can take one step forward to leap me 4 steps ahead then fuck it, why not?

Failure sucks, but without it you're not human.

Sometimes it's a full time job just bringing 'em to harvest. Sometimes it's a set of clones that won't root. Sometimes you neglect to change to timers to suit local conditions. Sometimes it's embarassing not being able to put your finger on it. Sometimes equipment breaks or bulbs blow, Sometimes it's bugs, or disesase, or a bad strain...

That's life. You know it, we know it, EVERYBODY knows it, and everybody experiences it. Sometimes for a few grows in succession.

You REALLY gonna give-up an account after 6 or 7 years of membership? Bummer. Can't the Mods change your shown username, but keep your posts and stats? If all you're looking for is a name change, I think they can do it. But regardless...you'll ALWAYS be you. (and honestly...there's nothing wrong with THAT)

You'll be back. We're a hard habit to break. :tiphat:

i feel what your saying, but its time for change and change is good. and within those 6-7 years i was having failure after failure and when i think about it, it was maybe, one good grow out of all of them and that was nice and could have been nicer.

the system that i have is all about control. everything was going fine. NL clones would root at exactly 10 days, the SS in 14-15 days. they would go down stairs to veg out to a taller height before they went into the flower cab, after the flower cab was full they would get about 2wks worth of xtra veg time under the 400MH. clones from the top go down below and then from down below they go to the flower cab and the main point of my system was to give everything ample time to grow out.

only failure i made was to not finish that garage or just find another home that had an insulated garage to begin with. i am gonna see what i can do for now, but its gonna take time and when i come back im coming back on some phoenix/maya angelou shit!

im seriously going to be on some reemergence shit and im not looking back.

its almost as if all of my failures are tied to that handle, so its cool, when i come back my shit will be on point and i can go forward anew with nothing but success in mind since i would have fixed what i should have in the first place

will some ppl recognize my system? maybe , maybe not, but its cool either way. will i respond to FRIENDinDEED when pm'd or called out in a thread? i just may deny the whole thing, who knows?

but, best believe i'll be back, like i said before ive GOT TOO MUCH EQUIPMENT TO FAIL!! ROFLMAO

i hear what your saying and your are more than correct. that is a good way to view things and because im human, im gonna start over BUT the right way (of course when i can get everything insulated properly)

just like i stepped back and counted the cost for the cabs, i should have been more realistic about my approach and did the construction work on my space that needed to be done from the jump and here's why in a nut shell:

if its 86 out side, then the garage is 96, and if the garage is 96 then both the cabs are gonna be at least 106

heres and example of what did me in and what ive been dealing with during all of my grows; on a past but recent string of hot/humid days my flower cab hit 115; humidity was at 78% so needless to say the garage has to be properly finished for me to even think about popping seeds again

lol, when i was doing organic soil, one winter my soil actually froze after watering . . . it froze after i watered them and how they still made it through baffles me to this day of course quality being affected and there in lies the problem.

no matter what i do in there, there is always going to be an extreme that im going to have to deal with that is out of my hands

... i like to reinvent myself and ive been mulling it over and i think i was taking this whole site a little too seriously anyway and wanted more from it, so im gonna come back with a renewed focus and attitude towards the site and not as FRIENDinDEED

so this is me saying farewell to FRIENDinDEED and you can too!

FiD a break sometimes does one wonders, sorry n saddened to see you go,
please remember our guidelines if and when you re-invent yourself thanks:

I could never imagine ditching my profile, it is me. If I could I would use my real name and go out with many of you guys on Friday nights and ask out many of the cool grower girls at icmag. If I change than the friends I have made here can watch me develop over time as well as I watch them, and that is how real friendships are formed over time. watching people form over years creates a fondness. Hence why childhood friends that you still have as adults are the best even if they have many faults. You even love them for some of their faults, and they love you for your's. People that are close are more lenient with each other than you would ever be with strangers, and that leads to more open conversation and more learning which leads to an even stronger friendship.
