And if anyone notices...pictures are finally working how I intend. Just had to follow the advice of others and slightly crop the photos before uploading them, so easy that I look silly

Here we go! Another weeks update...

The last three plants (cannalope haze, critical cure) were transplanted into 1gal pots. I top dressed them with oyster shell and neem meal like the others, but I also top dressed all the plants with a bit of alfalfa and kelp meal.

The Cannalope Haze are the only plants left to get topped. They are already stretchier than the other plants were at this stage.

The Sour D x SSH and Black Fire Chem are doing great, they havent gotten any top dressings. Just water and fish emulsion.

The one Northern Berry was topped twice like its sibling, but the second topping didnt produce 2 tops as anticipated...so it was topped once more.

You got me interested in that Northern Berry! Il be watching this grow , and I love how clean everything is!

I'm also very interested in the Northern Berry, I tried one before but only one and it was a male. So I'm really hoping for at least one female this time.

The Skunk Berry I'm hoping will be real good too, I grew the Sweet Skunk x C99 last round and it was possibly the best that came out of that round. Theres good stuff in the Sweet Skunk.

I've seen and heard good things about the Northern Skunk as well, but I have those pencilled in for the 3rd grow from now so I have to be patient.

I really try to keep things clean and tidy. Eventually I'll spill something I'm sure...like I knocked over a pot the other day and some of the loose top soil fell out...I swept it to the edge cause I was lazy but i couldnt handle it long before i swept it up lol

Thanks for stopping in!

Mini Update!!!

So the Beanhoarder Sour D x SSH needed a haircut to bush it out more to give the cats lots to chew on. And my buddy isnt ready for the Ethos Black Fire Chem yet, so it got a trim too
.
And why not turn those cuttings into clones? Or at least attempt to, seeings how I have no rooting hormone or plugs. So these got a tiny bit of Thrive Alive and straight into soil under the rooting dome.

Figure I may as well reverse a couple clones to add to my pollen collection for the future chuck'n. "Chuck'd Genetics" testers coming mid 2020 ;)

Awesome.
So why not, I agree. I commend you on the reversal and pollen collection.
I clone without hormone, just snips in cups of coco rinsed with pH'd water. Also leave my clones in a cup of water for a couple days before plugging them.

Well, you know, most of what breeders are producing are just different phenos of the same ol strains. And polyhybrids. Everybody has the ability to find amazing phenos and start working them. So can I. So I decided to take one of my passions and start a little side thing and see what I can do with it.

I talked to my local grow shop and they said they'd be more than happy to pass out my testers. And I've got a few ideas of ways to get feedback anonymously. Plus a few other places I can flog my wares. Should be a fun little venture.

I cracked, ran to the store to pick up some rooting gel lol. Just to give them the best chance at survival. It's been years since I've made clones, probably a little rusty.

I made a worm bin!

I made a worm bin!

Mini update!

Put together a worm bin yesterday and got my worms today!

Cheap polypropylene tote with small drainage holes and vent holes. Screened the holes, used gorilla tape to secure the screens as most glues arent compatible with polypropylene.

Set that tote inside another, with mini solo cups as a spacer to allow space for worm juice.

Looking like 3 for 4 males out of the peak gear, 2 100% confirmed, 3rd pretty sure and honestly, I think the 4th is male too haha. What luck! But that's ok, I plan to keep the 2 best (one northern Berry and one skunk berry) and flower them out in a closet starting today.

I'm not going to fuck with autos to bring my numbers up anymore. I've got clones coming along now and that sour d x SSH that was going to be a houseplant...well I'm taking it back.

Of the clones, all I'm after is 3 of each (sour d x SSH and black fire chem). I will reverse one of each, use that pollen to self one of each and cross them to the last clones to get (Sour D x SSH) x Black Fire Chem.

The only autos I will grow inside now are ones I want to see full potential under proper lighting cycle for autos. The rest will be strictly outdoor plants due to our short growing season here.
I'm going to start a Auto Lemon (ghs lemon skunk x lowryder) early and reverse it, self it and collect the pollen.
A couple weeks after I start that one I'm going to pop an Auto Grapefruit Haze, Auto Afghan Kush and an Auto Sour Hound. I'll then hit those with the lemon skunk pollen and should end up with a decent amount of seed to work with.

Full update tomorrow!

Let's throw up another update, shall we

Since last time I've found the Peak seeds to be males (3/4, but I suspect all 4) so the for sure ones I threw into a closet under 12/12. I'll only keep the best of each strain to collect pollen.

Now because I got so many males, but also took clones, I'm no longer going to throw some autos in to bring my numbers up. Instead I'm going to keep the Sour D x SSH in the tent rather than making it a house plant for the cats. And I plan to reverse one clone each of the black fire Chem and sdxssh, to make s1s and crosses.

The clones are doing well. I kept the dome closed for a couple days, then opened the vents for a couple days. Put a little water in the tray yesterday and today closed up the vents again. Itll stay closed now until they're ready. I havent peeked for roots yet, I'll wait until day 10.

Today I transplanted the Gorilla Zkittlez and Sour D SSH into 5gal pots. The Black Fire Chem went into a 2gal as it will still be going to a friend as a mother. Eventually. Transplant consisted of recycled soil, ewc, perlite, and a dash of oyster shell, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, neem meal and mycos for the root ball.

I've been using the G8 led now in conjunction with the autocobs. The temps got a little warm so I increased the passive air flow. Temps are stable around 26° and the humidity is holding around 58-62. That's the best I can do with how I'm set up.

I believe I was a little hasty in my sexing...I pulled one of the plants from the closet and put it back into the tent as I believe its female after all. Those tiny preflowers can be difficult to read when they're so small! I'd rather find out its male under veg than find out its actually female and then put it back into veg.

Grab a coffee! Smoke a joint! It's time for another weekly update!!!

In the past week I've been transplanting as necessary and finished all transplants this morning. The only plant left in 1gal is a Skunk Berry that I think is a male but still too early to tell. If it is Male, it's getting chopped and fed to the worm bin.

It was a good call to pull that Northern Berry I thought was a male, cause it is in fact 100% female.

Clones are still doing their thing. I dont see any roots coming out under the tray, but I pulled on a clone yesterday and it was bringing up a bunch of dirt...so there must be roots. I'll work on them tomorrow.

I also took a cutting of Catpiss because I decided I want to reverse the clone to make it easier to collect pollen. But I may not have enough time to get ahead...we shall see. 2 weeks I'm flipping the tent to 12/12.

Aside from doing little things here and there, I'll let the plants speak for themselves.

Here is an overall view with the Blurple still on. This wont be the final layout, I've left myself lots of slack in the Blumat feed line.
