Yeah my patients will never smoke some gvt grown schwaggy. We have to keep on fighting As long as we keep our rights to produce ourselves, then who cares what the govt does with their crappy weed. We have to pick and choose our battles...just have to keep a tight hold on the important rights we need to produce...at the very least.

To answer the big question...... I think if medical is the best way to "get our feet wet" and break down the social taboo of marijuana so it becomes a common thing in life, then I'm all for it. If only part of the population can have this right at the moment, then sick people should be first and I'm honestly pretty happy about that.

Miss Blunted - What a great post! When I was a recreational user, I still worked for legalization. Now that I'm a medical user, I'm fighting harder than ever. What it comes down to is the fact that it's much harder for the "public" to deny a seriously ill patient pain control or palliative meds.

On the other hand, peeps do get annoyed at groups of kid hanging around the malls like thugs & smelling of weed.

One of the struggles we have in the medical fight is the "stoner image." Being an old stoner, I've always loved Cheech & Chong, etc., but those TV images don't endear us to the greater public.

I'm encouraged by seeing lots more younger people cleaning up their act, taking more pride in their appearances & actually doing research into this wonderful plant!

Together, we can get this done!

Theres one solution to all this whatever happens, OVERGROW
Convince all your friends/family who smoke to start growing their own, even ifits made legal, just grow your own!
Don't even sell the weed you grow, give it away for free to those you love

Don't let any of these greedy parasites live off you
That includes dealers aswell as the government

also if legalization were to take place think more along the lines of alcohol than pharma..

if it is medically legal then you will need a script and pharma will be in control.

if it is fully legal it will be more like beer...big schwag companies (read busch) and small "micro brews" (read sweetwater)

i am a corporation..
i am not evil.
i just cant believe some of you are saying keep it illegal!!!!!

id rather have it legal and fight the "greedy evil corporate swine" (who everyone of you support every single day) than go back to prison for my garden again

Do any of us or our patients rely on Corporate or Government produced cannabis now?

No. So, what would change? Mostly the Wal-mart smokers will get their `grass in a bag `and be happy.

I highly doubt it, they may try but cannabis is already in the hands of the ppl and that will not change. If lots of ppl are growing under the totally illegal status quo, what makes anyone think it'd change under a more legal one?

It will never be "owned" by anyone. Any tom, dick or harry can make 1000's of seeds for future use. They can say it's still illegal to grow it, and you must buy from corps all they want - but what's the diff. from now? it' already illegal to grow, and lots do it anyhow...

All the power to the ppl, the corps will never own cannabis, as we already do - A proverbial snowball in hell. The corps may grow and sell under this scenario, but those Tom, Dick, and Harry's who are doing it now, especially for personal use will keep on keeping on as well... :rasta:

Peace
