Hmm. I think you might be right. I thought that if there were a landrace Malawi and a classic longflowering Thai involved it would stretch enough... Hmmm.

My setup is on the way!! I have 2 3000k, and 2 6400k bulbs, and reflector. How do you think heat would be if I had a honeywell 8" fan on low blowing on the lights/plants in a 2x2x8' space.

You need something to transport air out of the box, but the Honeywell sounds like more than enough. Good luck!

Wow, jrw, I must say your gardening skills are impressive at the very least. Beautiful work, and I'm sure you're going to be medicated for quite some time!

My light should be here any day lol.... Um how close do you keep the light, and how hot are they to the touch?

I'm really interested in yielding maybe 1gpw or more with good high yielding phenos. I have 2 blue, and 2 red bulbs, I was thinking about mixing, but maybe 2 red is just better since I'll basically be 12/12'n clones right off the bat.

id like to see you add more tubes and grow bigger scrog'ed sativas.
I'd like that as well :D Once had 250W...

Want to try thai under it?
What do you mean?
I Already got some oldschool Thai beans around and have some of Skunkmans Thai/Haze x Skunk and Big Koh Chang (Thai landrace) beans on its way from my friend Goldenseed :D

The future looks primising. But no hardware upgrades - only new seeds.

With many different plants in different stages of growth it requires some work to keep an even canopy thoughout the cabinet, but I try to keep the tubes ~1-2 cm above the plants. Thats ~½ inch.

With the circulation fan running I can touch the tubes as long as I want to.

Good luck on the 1 gpw quest. And please count g/kWh instead.

I'd definately mix the spectrums. When growing 12/12 from seed I think the plants will like that :D

Agreed on counting g/kWh - it's the best metric and should also include the electricity used for vegging.

Good luck with the Big Koh Chang landrace - Are they the freebies from SD? - I just pulled a female at 8 weeks that could have gone a bit longer - there were way too many nanners on that girl and I didn't want to risk pollinating the rest of my room.
It would definitely be ready in 10 weeks - lightning fast for a Thai.
Here is how she looked when trimmed up - I've got some bad pics of her in flower but not on this site.

I'll smoke a little popcorn (not cured, just 1 week dry) this weekend and get back with results.

Awsome info blackbone!

I thought it was a 14+ weeks sativa. Good thing I didn't put it under the screen :nono:

Look forward for your experience with the smoke...

No Thai is done in 10 weeks, no way. Either it's been hybridised or you made a mistake in thinking it will be done in 10 weeks, did you check the trichomes? A 10 week Thai simply does not exist.

Well according to POM it's a 9-10 weeks Thai landrace sativa - I have my doubts as truthfully the leaves were looking more hybrid than on any pure Thai pics I've seen. Buds were also fairly tight.
When I took it down the trichomes were approx 50% clear, 40% cloudy, 10% amber.

Doesn't sound Thai to me either

I have to simply try it for myself, but I'll stall the net on her :joint:

Thanks for joining in Pasha :D

My camera is broken :(

It's the lens... Can't show you guys what's happening... :badday:

But check this:
status_jrw_cabinet_july1st.jpg

All different ages. Ranging from 0 days - 10 weeks :D
The 16 on the right hand side is < 2 weeks.

The most surprising thing right now, is the minimal stretch in the A5 x Thai.
I mean, the small one is very stout. And the other filled the net ~1/3 :badday:
Both at 10 weeks... They are SO different.
But woooh some variation. I like it!!! :D

Here's some old stuff :D

Take care guys,
Hope to get a camera asap :)

I can't believe I haven't been back here since the beginning. Bad me. I can't believe how you've kept the girls under control! I thought I'd done good with a single Thunk that took up every bit of floorspace I had (22" x 29") I'll guess mine went larger due to being in an 12 gallon DWC.

With all these Sativa's, have you written any Smoke Reports. I'm in search of a new strain now. Flowering time is no issue. The Thunk is better than anything I've gotten off the street in years but, not what I'm looking for. While there's no couchlock, it's still a bit ... muddy ... unclear ... thick ...

Great work. I'll be back.
