cool. I hope it works out for you. If you had an extra male or some pollen, and if you could time it right, you should pollenate the wild cannabis and then next year it would be even stronger.

anyone remember the thread on OG with that guy in China that had pics of the wild cannabis? it was growing beside this walking path if I remember correctly. he said he smoked it and it got him high and he was trying to get some of the seeds to germinate. that was a good thread.

10 mil here I don't know if I believe that I've lived in the country for a while and I used to go walking all the ime to look for weed and I've never saw one wild pot plant ever.

Like I said I live in OK and I went looking and never found any and I've looked many places at least like a couple hundred acres and I've never seen one wild plant with the exception of a few plants my friend planted before and then the next year there was semi wild weed there. He just left a very seedy plant and next year there were a bunch of plants, not really wild but thats as close as I've seen. The third year of the thing though the cops came in with choppers and chopped all of them down, didn't ask him anything, he never got in trouble, they were like 300 yards from his house on the river

just run through the fields nekid....scrape, and wal-la.....

and yes hemp lacks the magic.

:biglaugh: Yes I am in the midwest, central, how you like it.... These plants will surely be heavily pollinated just like every year since I was young.... and I do plan on bringing the camera, but the season's just coming around.... we'll keep ya updated.....

PS... no these are not plants I planted... nor are they seeds of my own sowing... these are wild cannabis plants that have just been reproducing for years... all across this region.... people see it and think "ditch weed" or "hemp" because it's usually HEAVILY pollinated.... and there is literally ZERO bud structure... most calyx get fertilized... and that's that.... but they really are laced with triches.... noticed really last fall... but never thought to make it iso..... damn.... but this year is a whole new ball game....

Do it! Here's my story...

Do it! Here's my story...

A few summers ago a buddy and I lived on his Grandfather's land in the middle of nowhere, IL. We attempted starting seeds that spring with no luck.

Right around mid July we were walking around all drunken style with bb guns and I scoped in at a tree and saw weed growing everywhere. We discovered that the plants growing out there were not growing in the open, but only under the protection of trees in the open fields.

We distinguished 4-5 different strains one of which was definitely ditch weed because it was brown and had almost no bud structure. With the help of my friend's uncle, we determined that the other strains are the remnants of some seeds that he and a buddy ditched from their lids in the 70s. After 30yrs, the help of mother nature, and some stoned ass cows that ate the seeds and pooped them out all over the place; there came some "superior ditch weed" with crystals and hairs and even some purple varieties worth getting something out of it.

We chopped as many males as we could find in the early months and let them go the rest of the summer. Around September-ish the buds were almost done and we were getting tired of running through fields of 3-10ft weed plants, we took out the back seat of his Subaru and blasted Eek-A-Mouse's "Ganja Smugglin" while we drove around and harvested literally car loads full of weed. It was the funniest shit I've ever seen.

We strung clotheslines throughout the entire garage and dried out the whole plants. We went to Jo Ann Fabrics and got us about 4 different finely-meshed fabrics to use as makeshift bubble bags. Cleaned out a plastic trash can and proceeded to make bubble hash. We found that the easiest way to strip all those plants of their buds was to wrap our fingers with masking tape and strip the plant whole. We then drove around and tossed the seedy orgainic matter back in the spots we found them to help for the future.

We never got around to weighing our final product, but visually it was around 4 hamburger patties of hash. Once we drove back to CA, we estimated total weight to be around 9oz before we started smoking it. We haven't been back there in a few years, but I wonder what would happen if we planted some good plants and helped out the gene pool.

On a second thought, my buddy's other uncle has some land where ditch weed grows and he and his buddies harvest it and throw it in a big cauldron with some water and butter. They then separate it all and have huge brick of budder to split.

Another awesome thing that has nothing to do with the hash is that I kept a handful of choice weed stems and used them to make "hobbit" pipes. On very large weed plants, there is a xylem layer in the center that is very easily removed with a metal rod, creating a hollow tube. I hand carved a few bowls out of a walnut branch and made the two join like a tobacco pipe and walla! Your own Hobbit pipe! The most kick ass one I made was long enough where I could just barely light it myself. It was the ultimate peace pipe. Unfortunately someone stole it and is one lucky mf to have such a great piece.

That same crap is as far north as MN.. and in every sense of the word its ditchweed. The stuff is actually whats left over from WW2 and the Hemp For Victory campaign they pushed on farmers in the midwest so they would switch over from corn to hemp because of the massive shortage of rope. Mind you this is about 5-6 years [1942] after they went crazy with the 1937 anti MJ act and banned hemp farming. While corn is easily contained on a farm and doesnt grow wild, hemp on the otherhand loves the wild and isnt easy to contain at all on a farm. Good luck on the hash if it is ditchweed.. you can call it headache hash.

A couple large fields near me too in the C. Midwest. 1 of them has a few thousand plants on the south slope of a hill next to a creek. Very seedy, the scent is nauseatingly fruity, haven't smoked any. It deffinately has crystal but pollination is extremely efficient here. About mid September they all start going purple.
