Also Dirt, to understand Breeding better, goto the Breeders forums and Read them "sticky" threads....they should give you some insight on how and why people breed MJ. -Opt

yeah 20 dollars/seed is a lot of money... But there are people here who are much more informed than I am... and I'm sure there's a reason why they are THAT expensive. :chin:

I actually agree with you dirtdevil you could probably get a good strain from bagseed (perhaps after many generations of selective breeding). However it is much easier to buy the genetics and at least you'll KNOW what you're working with. I don't have any experience though, I'm just a wannabe breeder

Grow bagseed and have a nice life. Leave the real herb growing for the rest of us. Nevermind[/QUOTE said:

How is that rude? I said to have a nice life? I think you saying people selling beans for $20 is rude.

Bagseed is cool for a 1st grow when you dont know what you are doing. But past that spending $100-$200 on beans will give you proven genes well worth the time and investment. What is $200 when you spend $400 on a bag?

$20.00/seed is a bit high imho...
However, It is alot of hard work to Make seeds.
Valuable growroom real estate and time used to maintain parent stock.
Budcrop almost a total loss in a seeded plant ( Makes good hash though).
Time expended Removing/Culling/Sorting/Counting/and Packaging.
Not to mention the constant Germinating, Testing, and Pheno Hunting amongst bred stock, and new stock.

Buying Breeder seed takes alot of the guesswork out of your crop. The question is if you would rather rely on luck and numbers to find your Ideal plant, or do a bit of research, and buy something that will nearly guarantee you a keeper in short order? In my experience, Keepers from bagseed (all I had in the 80's-90's) are Very Few and Far Between.

breeding is diff from growing, cant be the dumb stoner if ur a breeder. That shit takes smarts! if i had the cash id get a good strain from the net. I got about 10 RomP19 left

thats good shit btw. I guess ill be growing that and bagseed for a while. I can grow now and should be able to smoke in the next month, if not in 6 months.

is it safe to get seeds from the net still?
