Why Do You Consume Cannabis?

Well it worked for him lol.

I've done LSD a few times but how could you be accurate with all the visuals and colors and stuff going on?

I guess it depend on the type of acid?

It can make time seem like it's going in slow motion. The visuals don't get in the way if you're doing something you're already good at. Multiplayer video games can seem ridiculously easy, since you can think and process information faster than everyone else. I never tried playing darts that way, but I see how it could work.

Doc Ellis said he could see the trail behind the ball going "whoosh!" right into the catcher's glove for a strike. He dove out of the way for no reason when the ball was hit just a few feet in front of home plate.

I've been reading about the incident for a while now. Fascinating. :dance013:

On acid, if you can sort of (thats how it is for me) balance everything going in your life and your own existence, or be at peace with everything... Then you can use the acid energy to do some amazing stuff I believe

The thing is, when the high wears off, it all seems like it was some looney stuff or you vaguely remember

I know it brings me closer to my center/self

Also i hear lsd and serotonin are pretty similar in structure

So i think someone ewith low serotonin/depression, when you come down, there is sort of a, going into the dark side effect. Its my theory on it. Since the individual is in a low state constantly, when you come down, you notice even more your lower state.

But people say that lsd can be good in therapy. They say depression can br reither s thought thing or a chemical thing, maybe both.

Your tolerance to LSD is effected immediately. The next day if you take it you need to take at least twice as much and so on for the days that follow. If a person took LSD for three days in a row they would most likely be near normal. That is what happened here. He was taking it every day.

There's a great article on the whole incident somewhere...but he dropped acid thinking he had the day off and then he found out he was the starting pitcher after he already started tripping balls

weed tolerance is the same way and is why I buy $30 eighths instead of $120 zips...the stereotypical laid back stoner is not accurate, in fact many of us are O.C.D and A.D.H.D with hyperactive nervous systems and the weed helps that...give me a strain with high CBD because it takes my focus from the entire room to being able to concentrate on what's in from of me...much preferred because I'm able to better focus on one thing and not taking in the stimuli from the entire room which can be overwhelming...

I agree with you barnyard. I like it like that too. The plant is the staple for me that keeps my mind on a level I am comfortable at.

While playing basketball for UClA, Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) dropped acid before a game and simply tore up the court like a madman, absolutely dominating the game beyond anything anyone had seen before. Coaches worked to keep a lid on the story so's not to endanger his career.

It sure made skiing more fun.

People have mentioned cannabis as making them more sympathetic and understanding. Many times I've imbibed and then recognized that I had been in the wrong or been too hard on someone. Guess some people are afraid of introspection though. Now that I find scary. Not to say that I'm incapable of being an asshole after smoking it.

I've read that cannabis use encourages the formation of new lateral neural connections, and that leads to creativity and making new associations between ideas. I guess that's one of the major reasons I smoke it. I really enjoy the thought associations that result.

I smoke for the calm it brings to me. In mind and body. And growing it and working in my small garden does the same so when I do both at once it is like a mini vacation.

I initially began using cannabis for stress relief, which was ruining my health at an incredible pace at that time. The enhanced pleasures that came with it were welcomed side-effects. Then it became pain relief after a minor but nagging back injury.

I go through periods when I just don't feel like using cannabis, even though I'll have pain a few puffs would melt away. Sometimes its two weeks, sometimes its many months, sometimes its a year+. But the urge to grow hasn't faltered; I can honestly say it is growing cannabis that brings me joy, excitement, and satisfaction, not using cannabis.

I do feel it makes me a more pleasant person, more calm, more patient and more able to deal with life's little tribulations with a much nicer state of equilibrium.
The moments of deep connectivity with the cosmos are an absolute bonus :)
