I know it is Harry but my gripe is that the law is affecting ill folks who want to buy cold medicine legitimately and it's not doing shit to stop meth manufacturing....how much meth could one make out of 2, 8 oz bottles of nyquil? I bet it aint much.. How many legit ill people have been told they can't buy more than 1 bottle of cold medicine per month? I bet thousands

I hope you aren't serious illuminati. Personally I would rather die of aids than live in a world where people like you were the only ones alive. I was fifteen when I first used heroin. I had a terribly abusive alcoholic father and I was just in a car accident where my closest brother who was driving was killed and had undergone several painful surgeries along with receiving an insurance settlement. My much older brother was an addict and knowing that I was in serious physical and emotional pain took advantage of the situation. Personally I feel that unlike you those that make mistakes in life grow and learn from those mistakes into humble kind compassionate human beings capable of feeling empathy towards human beings and a much greater understanding and appreciation of how the world works. I every addict was killed off this site wouldn't even exist. Gypsy was an opium addict for a brief period. Think of the many contributions recovered addicts have made to society. I just hope you grow up. BTW good luck keeping a wife if you've never learned how to satisfy someone sexually.

How can you possibly say that everyone that has aids (a disease that mostly effects poor and minorities eventhough wealthy caucasions are just as likely to engage in high risk behaviors) is a heathen that deserves to suffer a slow terrible death then not expect people to think you're a prick. I've been lucky enough to have only known one person to die of the disease but I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I still bump into his mother who gives me mean looks. we, as stoners, ademently believe that we are not drug addicts. we use a plant to catch a buzz... to relax in the evening... to make a movie more interesting... just for fun... right?
junkies are addicted to what they're using. they are 'helpless' by our own standards. they need syringes to be able to get the full use out of their drugs. syringes can be dangerous if used improperly, shared, reused too many times, etc... if they can't get a clean new needle, they'll use an old one, or someone elses... therefore, it's the public's responsibility to make sure people do as little harm to themselves as possible...
a syringe isn't illegal until it has drug residue in it... a bong isn't illegal until there is drug residue in it... only you can buy a bong in any head shop... it's not that easy to get needles...

I personally would take a canabis posession ticket any day if it prevents someones parent or child who is an addict from getting aids. And if anyone here would prefer others to catch aids over themselves losing their license for 6 months is devoid of compassion.

well, all i mean is that we don't consider ourselves 'helpless' to our drug of choice. it's somewhere in the range of unlikely to impossible to spread any diseases through our administration method. basically, we're not a social burden...
if it was up to me there would be clinics where junkies could go to recieve 3 shots a day of pure diacetylmorphine. clean needles, clean drugs, no need to rob or beg for their next shot. think about how good this would be for society...
anyway, basically, i'm not going to harm myself getting stoned so i don't need any extra leniency. i know smoking pot is illegal, and i can stop at any time, but the same is not true for everyone. for example, this part in William Burroughs' book Naked Lunch comes to mind... this girl can't find a needle so she uses a safety pin to puncture herself and then an eye dropper to squeeze the drugs into her arm... can any of you see yourselves doing such dangerous things to get stoned?
