In 1982 Reagan cut the tax rates for the rich. The decline in our middle class, our education system and our infrastructure began. As the top tenth of 1% took more and more there was less for everyone else.
We went from being the 1982 country who had the strongest middle class, the best infrastructure, the best education system and admired for putting a man on the moon, to now with a state of decline and billionaires owning the government. The poorest states are the strongest supporters of the political party driving us down towards becoming slaves to the oligarchs and the government as are the people in Russia.

First off, fuck Ronald Reagan and his prohibitionist wife.
With that out of the way, I'd say that blaming how people are taxed as being the reason for a declining education system fails to consider other factors and may be reaching a conclusion without considering other factors.
Being concerned about being slaves to government and then implying people should be taxed more, is sort of saying two opposing things at once.
