I dont know bout the price of the dog bone pool but when i grabbed my pool today i.wanted the turtle one.. They wanted $149.99!! I nearly shit myself . So i just got the 30 dollar blue round one. But the dog bone pool is awesome... Get it bro do your thing and rock that pool!!

I use the good old Wally world 43" ~ $9.99 china pools... lol

That is what I am going to use but I found it for 229.00. I liked the drain plug feature and the fact that is longer than it is wide as it would fit in the grow area I can use for it.

Been loving watching and following med-mans YouTube channel lots of information he posts to the masses. This is gonna be epic hopefully you get a lot more people willing to do this contest. I would try to join if I had the room it sounds like fun but I also must admit I am scared of hydro I just finally had the balls to switch from promix to coco. So one day once I get coco locked down I'll try to step up to some sort of hydro setup but until then guys I'll be watching and taking notes for future endevors. Peace mike

I had a lot of fun in coco,just a great way to play....
I think it's all about which hydro set up you use and what you feed with that determines difficulty level...

Jacks hydro is the bomb and could not be easier to work with...

I have a full line of Nutrients that I only used a few caps of...lol
$400 worth of stuff just sitting in the shed...lol
Next to a bunch of air hoods... lol
On top a bunch of smart pots...lol...

I figure maybe a couple examples of Kiddie pool builds might inspire a few more to take the plunge...


I simply daisy chained the 4 bottom totes into one line leading to the control tote with a float value to control the water level...

Drilled 8 holes in a kiddie pool.
placed the lids on the totes and pool on the lids,then drilled the holes through the lids...

Added 8 ~ 2" Medium filled wicks to the pool and placed the plants....

This was my 1st design....

Though I used a pulse fed method...
You could easily hand water this design although with the wicks in place this would only be needed every few days....

Skip the wicks and you have DTW.... lol

For my 2nd try...
I simply used 1/2" PVC pipe rather than 3/8" tubing...

I added smart pot patches to the wick holes in order to keep the medium from getting into the lower totes...

So It went from this...

There were only 2 pipes leaving the tent.
One for the lower totes and on for the pulse manifold...

In the 4th picture you can see the float valve in place
to control the water level in the lower totes and the
Volume tank to the right which fed both pools...

Once set up.
All you need to do is add water to the VT and wait...

Total auto pilot with pulse feeds of 1 minute every hour 20 times a day...
