Here is my first attempt at growing in the swamp. 20 gallon fabric pots filled with coco and a little native soil, 3-4 cups dolomite lime and 2 cups slow release fertilizer.

TM,

Do you think using the cover crop blend from buildasoil would help offset whatever nitrogen deviations occur from the decomposing wood?

I think it's a great idea.Only thing I don't like about it is it would scar up the swamp and be easily seen till it grows back in.
I'm starting to fall in love with the swamp.
Great security, lots of water and sunshine.
Large mounds/raised beds or swamp tubes. The swamp tubes can be made on site and blend in well.
As with any spot, takes time to dial it in. My spot is actually an abandoned beaver pound. The water levels fluctuate more than I would like.
Already have some new plans for next season.

Hope everyone is having a great season.

Peace GG

my amended holes in the swamp are rocking even though they are only partial sun.

we have been getting rained on hard and I went out tonight to check the girls
before dark and they look to be 20 odd days in and starting to frost up.

I doubt you could pick my plants out from the air, they are growing in natural clumps with a crazy mixture of bushes.
none of the training structure or trellis is visible anymore on this one.

built the support cage on this Chernobyl later than the other and you can spot it from up close but the swamp is a very visually busy place.

between the water and muck, bugs, thorns, logs that trip you and snakes you might not even see my weed if you stumble through.

This pheno of Chernobyl I found is a frost monster! I like her at 6-1/2 weeks she is electric lime slurpee fire.

indoor looks like this.

The ECSD tops tonite, how long before they flop? perhaps the wind makes them stronger?

Those things are fucking monsters...

What breeder is responsible for those?

Also, Chunky: do you twine those sticks together to hold them in place and then lay the trellis down overtop of them?

yeah, the sticks are jammed into the wet swamp ground then tied to each other and tied to the dead tree or the shrubs nearby.

july 17th I caged the ECSD
