Cheers Deft, it is always interesting to see how people use different things.
I did use sugar on my big girls this season.. after they had started to flower..but I was too far along to use it as a proper test.
As soon as my spring season is on the go..I will be running a control.

HK..I got the Demerara..not quite molases..but better than white.
The Main thing that I can remember my Grandad using sugar for was plants that were failing to thrive..and reluctant clones.
If a cutting wasn't rooting, he would top it up with lemonade.. to give the roots something sweet to tempt them out...
I am gonna buy some cheap lemonade and just run a plant on that all season..see what happens.
I must admit..that if a seedling is not asking..I would tend Not to fert..but the way these ones are going..I can see them broadening every day..I want to give them a bit of a hand..incase they exhaust their reserves. Growth like that needs a bit of encouragement.
I have a guano supplement for next season it is about 20% Nitro...but..one of my books says that high nitro gives more males so I wasn't sure what to do..
I will try it on the next patio grow.
I am not sure..after seeing the growth spurt on the seedlings under light..how much the light would affect the results.
It Has to be drawing neuts into the plant at a higher rate than normal..
and I don't want to kill anything in the cupboard if poss..

I WELL pigged out last night... but..yer know..my bud had been off site for a while..and I just had to make sure that they were all in tip-top condition.

the second is today 16th Dec..that is hellish growth for 10 days..

HK..I have never had a real psychadelic one..
although SOC said he was having hallucinations after smoking one of mine..
he said like he was having a dream..while he was still awake..but he also knew what was going on around him..mmmm..so he knew it was a dream..
I never get THAT high..I think that it is the pain meds..
I can smoke enough to kill a horse..(according to friends)...
and still be the only one left standing..it is frustrating.

but hell..I enjoy the practice...

Deft, I am not sure but I will try it on a bagseed...
The "sugar" from my Grandad was alway the dregs of his tea or Lemonade BUT..it was home-made Lemonade.
I checked the lemonade in the shops this year and did notice the citric acid content..so I will be keeping an eye on it.
Plus..I do like to feed then flush..so I am hoping it will be okay.
I could always ask my Mother for the recipe for the Home-made...
but THAT would be spoiling my girls..
I was considering the lemonade as I thought it would be an ideal stealth feed for remote growers..you are never going to get stopped with a bottle of lemonade when you are out for a "walk"..are you?

okay..you know that it is against my religion to transplant before they show sex.... well these two just looked soo worth it..I couldn't resist..

if a plant is trying it's best...you just have to spoil it..
With the high vermiculite ratio..they came apart with minimum root tear...Nice Roots..




I transplanted them straight into 5 Ltr bottles..and Yes..I added a little Guano into the potting mix..I will let you know.

Em...I need to ask a really Dumb question..
but you know what I am like...
it has been bugging me for a couple of days....
do my seedlings look as if they have TOO many leaves...
I haven't done the light thing before..so it could be that..
and they are minis..they have double LowRyder parentage..but something is niggling me on the leaf formation..
as if..they just seem to have more than I am used to seeing..any thoughts..

Mossy I wouldn't worry, too many leaves is never bad. It's just plant growth showing how happy it is. I'm sure the bat guano is going help a lot, and hopefully it's a female cause that's going to be one nice LR.

It smells like chocolate, but the taste is like citrus fresh. Nice sativa buzz with no plateau.

no such thing as to much leave's mossy, that bulb is just sending down lot's of light to the secondary growth. in the next week you will just have a bush. who were the parent's of these seedling's again? do you think they will auto flower?

MEATY..Feeling better. I got the bug too..it is a nasty one.
I am keeping my fingers crossed on the cabinet..but my luck seems to be holding for the minute...Fingers crossed.
I am getting some good looking plants...I just hope some of them are girlies..

smOke..the smaller ones are maz x LR squared..F2..so they should be 50% AF.
(I WAS going to rest the F3's..but it looks as if I have 1 of the white..and one of the slug..germinated..no sight of the purple one yet..but They should be 75% AF..and Their siblings...mmmm)
