They Should be 50%..
but I didn't get any Non-AF on the first batch..so I am expecting a few..
I now have them on a 25% of full dose, veg fert. It does seem to have set them away again...but that could just be a pre-sex growth spurt..
Did you fert your grow under lights HK..
I never really had to do it with my patio girls as they were all happy with just water...
and..
on the one that has AF'd..she is in flower..not pre-flower..so do I change her to flowering ferts now
Isnt that what flower ferts are for? I say go!

Yeah mossy I would start feeding in some bloom ferts now, at a low level. I always nute my girls with my 3 general hydroponics formulas so there is always some for each stage of growth. You will see a definite difference when you can dial in how much nutes each strain needs. LRs should be able to handle a good amount of nutrients compared to other strains, but for your first time just keep it at lower level and ease your way into feeding them more and you will be good. :lurk:

Just do what you think is safe for fert lvl. Some plants love ferts and use them all up if they get some, and some use just what they need to grow and prosper so do the safe thing and apply at 1/2 or 1/3 strength and go up till you hit a ceeling if you want the most out of your buds.

Cheers both of you..I thought I had better check.

You can tell they are starting to sex..I got a hell of a waft of warm, scented canna when I opened the doors today...BLISS.. :woohoo:
Canna does seem to give you plenty of smell Hints.
Ah..I have just remembered the maxim..feed an Indy..starve a Sativa. Memory jogger..the sativa type need less food..I shall have a look..see what I have..

Okay all you young 'uns..it is time to stop celebrating now..you need to get your strength back for New Year Eve.. :woohoo: :woohoo:
I have put the girl on 25% dilute flower ferts..but I have no further signs of sex..
What do you think about giving them all a 10% dilute flower fert..see if I can tickle their hormones.. :chin:

mossy their stretching now! that means your goona get some bud's on thier in around 10 days. flower fert's wont talk a non af plant in to blooming. the light cycle will though. if your making more seeds with these girls nows the time to start picking the best females. keep an eye out on which girls start to get frosty first or the frostiest. ohh and fert's added to your plants from watering helps alot. they wouldnt make them if they didnt, lol good luck man.

i can only imagine what your patio girls would have looked like if you would have given them extra fert's. they would have been monsters !! :yoinks:

Remember..they were as healthy as hell..and we decided not to bother.
I tested the ferts on the tomatoes..ha ha.
But next year I am going to beef them up..see what I can get..that is why I got the guano. I only really ferted my big girls when I actually "saw" and recognised the "proper" flowering spikes.
So you think they are definite Non-AF's...should I remove the non-af from the grow and just go with the AF one..? :chin:
or will the non-af's still be carrying 50% of the AF genes.
I was going to give them 'til new years day to show..Wha'd'ya think..

i would never get rid of a good plant. it's entirely up to you want you wanna do. but that plant will continue to get larger until you switch the light's to 12/12. if you want to make autoflowering seeds. that is not the plant you want use to do so.

:D smOke..I am kinda gutted..'cause I think you are right..BUT..
I have never had a non-af before...so it is kind of exciting.
Plus..if I am not seeding them..then any girls can just be used as bud-bearers :woohoo:
Stock mares.... :D Males can be assasinated on first sight. :yoinks:
Now..here is the complicated bit..they are not staying under the lights..
generation X are germinating as we speak...
Do you think that bunging them in the tent would give them the light pattern that they need..I think I have about 8-10 hours daylight..could I get away with it :chin:
They are Way too pretty to kill..

Hey guys. I have another question. Can having your lights to close to your plants cause them to droop? Anyone? Beuler? Beuler? Thanks :joint:

Meaty..when I dropped my lamp..my plants went like that..limp and sorta sad.
I moved the light back up and they recovered..no probs..but you better wait for one of the others to confirm..as I know nowt much about lights yet ...
Is that peat fully re-hydrated..if it is leeching too much water..that could be the prob too.
Stick your pinky into it...up to the knuckle..it should feel warm and moist.."claggy" :yoinks:
:D :D :D

Well I got my holiday lazy bum into gear today and did some work....
I transplanted my girl...nice roots..she filled a 5.5inch square pot nicely..

and I have given her pride of place in the cupboard....
It meant I had to move 2 out..and into the tent.. :yoinks:

I suppose 'cause she just got her flowers, she is showing off..but she didn't half pong...strong, spicey canna..not fruity..like some of the others..but..that could just be hormonal..and change.

I have 2 distinct "bodytypes" in the grow..I am thinking male/female obviously..so I have selected a nice one of each type to go in the tent.
As males tend to sex stretch first..I am hoping that the one on the left is a male..and the other a female..
I like the look of tufty plants :canabis: :canabis:

Gratuitous group photo.... :D
I have just realised...she smells like her mother..the Maz x LR is the spiciest dried bud I have. She smells as fresh as the day she was harvested. Rich.
Nice One.

meaty if the ligth was too close i think you would see noticable burn damage on the leave's i think mossy may have the right idea your peat could be too wet. mossy i see no problems with keeping them in the tent. as long as your tempratures stay above freezing you will be fine.

M

smOke..you would laugh yoursef silly if you could see the tent..it is more holes than tent...but the geraniums are sitting in there quite happily vegging out..Our night temps are unseasonably low at the minute..and are in low single figures..but as long as the skys are clear..I am getting good daylight hours..
Fingers crossed time..
Meaty..how are your outdoor night temps?

My outdoor temps stay alright if we can keep the fronts out of here. I still think its to chilly though. I will try and not to water them so much. I know this sounds weird but I was watering them about 2-3 times a day. Im not a fool but the top of the peat was light LIGHT brown like there was no water what-soever. Maybe I was wrong :chin:

No..Meaty..you were right...that is what I was saying about peat being hard to re-hydrate once it had dried.
If those bits do not wet..and hold moisture..then they are doing your plants no good at all.
Honestly..put your finger in the soil..it should have the resistance of warm mashed potato. If it feels dried out and gritty and your finger comes out clean..you still have a problem.
