The cal mag thing with FNB/FLB at the Lucas ratio is a strain dependant thing, some will need it, some can get by without it. I just add it at a very low level for all my bloom nutes, and that seems to work. So my mix is FNB/FLB/Calmag/Fulvic - no zymes or bullshit for my roots, becasue I deal with heat at an environmental level, so I don't need that crap. I sit here and shake my head every time I read about h202, zymnes, and clearex, hehehe, like water don't flush mari just fine if ya do'er right.

Oh man , you can KISS it all goodbye lol....isn't it great to find out that a one part FN works just fine ?

* I do a little judicious foliaring in the earliest veg to bloom stages with a little surficant/nectar/FL+ and lite FN mix and kep the level low . This way a quart of Floralicious , nectar etc lasts for 5 rounds or more @ only 1-2ml /ltr.

And thats all you need of FL+ ...very potent chiiit @ 5 drops per qtr is all any plant needs in foliar , can see the results in 24hrs . They seem to like this early mid-stage treatment while keeping nute levels low .

Just a little pump for the babies now & zen while not throwing money down the drain ....

been on the GH Lucas formula for a couple years now. i tried liquid karma, i tried molasses, i use koolbloom when i can remember and feel like mixin up a gallon for top feed(i run perpetual 1k ppms steady in flower) and tap water is about 170ppms to start with. additives are hype imo, except kool bloom(i think i notice a difference)

these two plants are about 36" tall from 100% coco, they are in 5.5"pots and both go more than a zip each. strain is abusive OG Kush and those that run it know its no monster yielder, lamp was a 400w hps. :joint:

I've been using a 'modified' Lucas Formula for a few years now, because like some ppl have mentioned in this thread, to combat Mg deficiency I usually end up adding a tbsp of epsom salts to each 2 gal DWC. This seems to instantly correct any problems with that. I'm guessing maybe it could use some calcium too, but the plants seem perfectly fine, maybe one of these days ill give calmag plus a shot instead of the epsom.

Although the Floralicious plus smells a little weird, the plus version is a newer more concentrated version of the older line plain Floralicious Grow/Bloom. Also the new Floralicious (plus) is one bottle for both grow and bloom, the older line has a separate formula for each. From what the hydro store guy told me, the older line has been discontinued? Either way, I like to use it, since i started i feel like my plants are a deeper green, and the roots are always very healthy, clean and white. I've never experienced root rot or any other 'root nasties' before *knock on wood* so my attitude is if ain't broke don't fix it.

I also think using the PK boost KoolBloom has def shown some increase in my dry weight, and I don't think i've seen a drop in the quality of my harvests, but thats a subjective test :)

I have a question for all of you Lucas formula users...what strength nute solution do you use for each phase of the plants life (seedling/clone, veg, bloom)? When I first started growing I used a very diluted solution for seedlings, then I tried using the formula at 50-75% strength during veg and it really burned up my plants, I flushed with plain water and they recovered just fine, then I switched to 33% strength, which was fine. Since then I've been kind of scared to crank up the strength of the nutes and I always leave the Lucas formula at 33% strength during veg and bloom. I'm not sure what my ppms are because I don't have a meter, but if you guys could tell me exactly how you're mixing up your Lucas formula I could at least guess what % would be safe to increase to. I realize each strain has its own particular tastes for nute strengths, but if you include the strain name I will take it into consideration for sure. Right now I have Rez's Sour Diesel, Nirvana AK-48, Nirvana Jack Horror.

Any input appreciated, thanks!

Buhahahaha,Thats hillarious.Im not really the best person to get in on this convo.Im the king of more means more and why use somthing cheap when they make a super expensive alternative. But thats a different story.
Floralicious Plus is great it contains lots that the grow and bloom dont.Stuff is amazing, liquid gold.It contains a liquid suspension of Bacillus Subtillus which is a microbeasty with benefits up the ying ying.Good alternative to Voodoo from AN.Same idea liquid beastie innoculant. That combined with the Subculture and you will have ROOTS up the ying ying!!LOL!!!Peace Gromerr Pott!!

Hey, I remember that fellow Bacillus Subtillus, he was da Bud Pimp for Augustus Caesar, I think. It's all Greek to me. lol

if you really want to cut out all the fat..

get these..

Floramato Dry, Or Maxi Grow, Maxi Bloom (the drys are the most economical and work fine for ease of use for decent results)

Flor Plus (provides Benis and most other things)

Koolbloom Dry

Floranova will not let the plant go to full potential just hapens to be an easy decent one part nute..

to all the lucas formula users - how much kool bloom do you use? i read that rez uses 7ml/gal in his modified coco formula.
