Fox Farm organic based
i like to mix FF ocean forrest and light worrior soils together 50/50 and add perlite, i do this for both veg and flower.
i use FF grow big 1 time a wk during veg along with some diamond necture
for flowering i use tiger bloom and big bloom everything starts at 1/4 strength dossage and never exceeds 1/2 strength. i also use a bloom inhancer that is def a chem NPK 10-52-10. i noticed some1 uses beastie blooms thats for sure not organic or even organic based with NPK 0-50-30

P.S. pure metanaturals results for the non-believers ]

I agree with you Pactivist metanaturals is a great line or organic nutes. I've had alot success with it, some of the most flavorful herb I have grown indoors was when I was using it. I'd still be using it if it had a longer shelf life, seems like mine would always turn to sludge before the next flowering cycle.

These days I find myself using BioBizz the most with an occasional shot of PBP for good measure

I've been using Fox Farm products for two years now. I think nutes are like anything else..once you get yourself dialed in your good to go. I do have to say that I used to use just the nutes with scotts soil , Plants never turned out that great , however once I began using the F.F. Ocean forest mixed with light warrior the results have been 150% better than before , stinkier , way more crystal coverage, better taste and a very easy grow without many issues. I have considered tring the botancare line of products , but I've been having such good success with F.F. I figure why fuck with a good thing. nice thread.

WitchKing... I personally think Botanicare is the best stand alone product... I just came off of a two year biobizz run with amended soil..(which was the only way I could get biobizz to Really perform).. The great thing about Botanicare is IMHO you can use amended soil or not and get really close to the same results.. just have to feed more.. But with Biobizz if you don't amend or run out of say Algamic...product quality suffers.. ALso, biobizz is about double to triple the price of Botanicare on some products...

Also, I was looking around NGW's website yesterday.. did anyone know they released a new type of sweet? Citrus Sweet is what it is called.. supposedly the original Sweet is Berry flavored.. Weird..

This is what I picked up yesterday.. hoping to see some great results with my current grow. They Hydro store guys said these seemed to work the best for soil..

It's BioBizz's Bio-Grow, Bio-Bloom, TopMax Bloom Stimulator, and Liquid Karma Plant Catalyst. If anyone has a good feeding schedule other than what is recomended for these.. let me know.

I am currently on my second grow using BIOBIZZ Root Juice, Grow, Bloom and Top Max and re-use All-Mix by adding worm castings, Pre-Mix and fresh All-Mix. This allows me to keep a lower profile. A little Cal-Mag helps as well.

Peace

Organic ? who are we kidding ?

Organic ? who are we kidding ?

I cant resist the urge to piss on the parade. For the Record FOX FARMS IS NOT ORGANIC AT ALL IT"S TOXIC GARBAGE.
Now I suppose this just pissed some people off but please hold the defense and try to keep an open mind.
GROW BIG and TIGER BLOOM are toxic "organic based" means not organic. EDTA is a high level chemical chelate that bonds metal mostly iron to make it more available for plants to absorb. EDTA has been banned in australia . There is no actual correct info available on the time EDTA takes to bio degrade. The us government finds small amounts of EDTA acceptable for actual human consumption. You will find this chemical in mountain dew and helmans (best foods) mayonaise. It is used as a preservative that removes the metal taste. Makes me wonder what would happen if I ate alot of iron rich spinach then drank mounain dew?
As well look at the ingredients on the back of the bottle and use wikipedia to learn about them. Like Potassium nitrate,Magnesium nitrate, Ammonium Phosphate, calcium nitrate . There are 14 chemical ingredients and two "organic" ones earth worm castings and kelp.
Now if your still here thanks for reading and heres an explanation of organic based.
As with most manafactured things the ingrdients have to be listed in accordance to the amounts used. For example commercial dog food of quality will have chicken lamb or other meat listed in the top 3 ingredients. Poor quality food would list it 4th or later. This means the food is actually primarly meat not filler. On your Fox Farms bottle the worm castings and kelp are 6th and 7th on the ingredient list............get it yet ?
"So how can they say organic based then" you ask ? Well define based for me ......does it mean mostly organic or middle of the list ? Or does it mean we "based our formula on kelp and castings them amended it with 14 chemical additives ? The point is its a play on words it doesnt mean anything and its deceptive. There are laws about what a nutrient company can say on a bottle and how . These company make a career out of wording labels around them. Some states are stricter than others which is why some products are not available everywhere. Contact your local department of agriculture for a list. Hope this helps some people please feel free to pm me any questions

I stick with the FoX Farm soil because its cheap 5$ a bag. and i love the botanicare line of liqud nutes. i usually start with clones (lately C-99, Mothers Finest and WW). my soil that i stick with is FF Ocean Forest/FF Light Warrior (50/50) watering with just plain R/O water. that lasts me 2-4 weeks depending on the plant. i always water with R/O water (its cheap ware i live) i let my plants show me what it wants.
Lights On 18/6-
first water i use 5ml/gal Hydroguard
then R/O water tell i see some yellowing
then i water 7ml/gal Pure Blend Pro Grow and 3ml/gal Cal-Mag and 10ml/gal Hrdroguard
Turn Lights too 12/12
next, 10ml/gal Sweet
then flush
water 15ml/gal Pure Blend Pro Bloom, 5ml Pure Blend Pro Grow, 3ml/gal Cal-Mag and 15ml/gal Hrdroguard
next water 15ml/gal Sweet
then 7ml/gal Pure Blend Pro Bloom and 7ml/ gal Sweet
water plain r/o water tell harvest.

notes- i dont use the Sweet and the Cal-Mag together, i was told that would cause a burn. i was just given the Sweet not to long ago, so this harvest it was given late. next harvest i plan to use the Sweet in veg. also... i just recently relized the magic of FF Happy Frog and will be using that in the mix next time. i was thinking starting the clones in a mix of Happy Frog(75%) and perlite(25%) in a very small pot, wait tell the roots start to shoot out of the pot then repot into a mix of FFOF(30%)FFHF(30%)FFLW(40%).

Great Post FJ,

PureBlendPro, FoxFarm, and a few others are in fact about as organic as a BigMac without the lettuce.
The are organic-ish as they capitalize on some of the more beneficial organic elements but like you say just because the label says organic it's not universal, i may or may not be acceptable to you.
On the other hand people eat frozen pizza and twinkies so it's always an uphill battle getting folks to care more about quality and less about user friendliness...

Botanicare

Botanicare

not sure if you meant botanicare wasnt in the poll or my post. but just in case pureblend pro is a botanicare nutrient.
As well I will say that pureblend original is organic and works well. Pureblend pro is not truly organic but as far as I can tell there is nothing more Harmfull than bakingsoda but I'll have more on that later. There is not anything dangerous or questionable at least.
