I used p bat guano tea along with several diff bloom
ferts, and ran out the last couple of harvests, and I can
def tell a lack of taste, so for sure next trip to the hydro
store, gonna pick some up. I used Tiger bloom, then earth juice bloom
and now am using pure blend pro flower, with ej catalyst every now and
then until the last 2 weeks and just water.

I must agree about the fox farm. Its just a good advertisement really. I dont think thier products are as good as they sound so to speak. They jumped on the band wagon, when medical marijuana laws first started coming around they popped onto the scene.

I tried thier soil ONCE. I didnt care for it, it had sticks, rocks and all sorts of crap in it. Plus for that price, I can make a organic soil batch twice as big, maybe tthree times as big.

I am a fan of the Bio-Bizz line, they havent let me down yet. I like the fact most of them are certified organic.

yea, I agree with yall. I love my earth juice and my biobizz, fox farm is over hyped... but id like to use a bloom fert that has a little more nitrogen than the EJ Bloom (0-3-1)for the first half of flowering. my friend uses pure blend bloom and has very little if any deficinces all the way through flowering, but he swears by using FF light warrior for seedlings and FF LW plus FF Ocean Forest with a 2:1 ratio is the key to his grow. But I also think that those are crazy prices to pay for some dirt, and would much rather make my own recipe. what do yall think? what is a good all purpose flower fert for soil grows, or does keeping a great, pre-ferted soil make the difference? peace

Biobizz from seedling to harvest works great for me. They provide all the nutrients my plants need with no shartages or ammendments needed!! I use their entire line though! Never have a nitrogen deficency in flower.

I use Fox Farm Grow Big, Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom and am getting excellent results. I overfed them through the first stages of veg but didn't burn them, which is why I love this stuff.

I use Botanicare Pure Blend Grow and Bloom and so far I haven't burned them with the grow ferts and I'm only a week into flowering so the bloom ferts i haven't tried yet. I'm completing my setup with Calmag and Liquid Karma for a nute setup that needs no soil ammendments just walmart plain potting soil for me

Hey all, I have been reading threads and polls on nutes for a while. I have used a few non organic with good results, but decided to go with Pure blend grow & bloom (reg) and add some goodies,L karma, beastie bud etc. I was wondering if any else noticed as I did that the new AN & Pure blend Pro seem to be burning alot of novice(which I am) growers plants.Do to the slightly higher NPK amounts I believe. What do you guys think?

I'm a proponent of a rich nutrient soil mix, that sustains the veg.cycle. I like to add Bat,bone, soft rock, kelp meal, epsom salt,Mike fungi, worm castings.I find that I use very little Liquid ferts...maybe a touch at the end..Oh Yeah...Liquid Karma all the time. Now the Blooming stage is a whole different Animal...I always transplant at this time, keeping the same general mix but adding Hi-P bat. After about 3 weeks I start hitting them with old age organics(kelp base liquid) and Budswel.Toward the final weeks,I really like to add the FF bigbloom to every watering.I think it really helps the final resin production. It's basically the same as budswel..but it has alot of little particulate matter floating around, and I swear the plants love it. Unfourtunately,it's fairly expensive for how much they recommend...I cut the dose in half.I try to use fert combos in low doses, just so the plants have access to whatever they need.I also water some on dry containers first before adding my nutrient solutions, just to avoid any plant burn.

..metanaturals

..metanaturals

I use the metanaturals line of organic nutes..or rather starting do dabble in organics now and thought that they would be the best for me.

I use Baccto soil, which is 100% organic and is excellent and only 4$ per 25# bag. Comprised of 90%reed sedge peat, 8%sand and 2%perlite..

Of course I ad plenty more perlite to the mix and it stays nice and fluffy even after reuse.

The meta's are good from what i hear..but don't see many people using them..

And FF is not as bad as you guys are making it out to be....i know many growers that love and swear by their products.

I have been using bio canna from when i started growing probably 2 yrs ago now. I really like the bloom and the bio boost seems really good! I have picked up a bottle of biobizz grow this time and am using that mainly with some bio canna vega it has worked well. Just about to flip to 12/12 tonight and i will be using mix of bio bizz and bio canna for flowering. I found bio bizz can be used every watering where as canna is probably better every other. I use di water 18mage oms and bio bizz all mix with a bit of organic seedling mix and perlite.
I have had a few beers but i could probably cope with ether nutes right now and get solid buds so would recomend ether!

the pbp grow works amazing.. had some girls in ffof and they had started to slow in veg.. gave em their first hits of pbp grow and some lk and they started exploding.

i can't quite figure out whats going on in flower tho. i've had 2 grows an both of them have exhibited yellowing of the leaves that moves from the bottom up and eventually gets right up to the sugar leaves near the buds. i thought it may be N or Mg def. but small doses of grow fert mixed in during flowering and cal mag plus don't seem to change the situation at all. i know it has to be possible to keep the leaves green and healthy all the way through flowering.. i've seen some crazy pics of ridiculously heathy plants.. for me tho i just can't seem to get everything perfect.. it makes me want to try a different fert. i end up with zero usable trim at the end cause it all falls off!

All over the map...

All over the map...

Every year I try to ''change it up'' so to speak..I like to dabble in the various soluble ferts. My veg mix really needs nothing...little Maxi-crop toward the end.In the past I've used Chem. in soil. Then I switched to Age old(too much N in bloom-Lotsa leaf)Then I went to teas and top dressing with ewc and Belize Bat guanos..not enough control for me I guess..I like measurements. So now I'm using FF Tiger,FF Big Bloom,Botanicare Liquid Karma and sweet.I also use Grannies Molasses and Maxi-crop seaweed. There is a method to the madness..I have fert waterings and addative waterings..I will alternate the addatives and sometimes switch em around and sometimes jst mix em all in..haha.I try to keep dosages small.I've kept meticulous records for years,so I've got a pretty good handle on what works..You would be had pressed to find a single burnt leaf-tip.And I never trim a single leaf..I let the plant cannabalize all the fan leaves during the final weeks.I just cringe when I see plants all butchered of their energy factories...Also Mg. is a very important soil ammendment..!!! I always add 1tbls./gal. of soil.If you see flouresent yellowing on new growth..this is classic mag/sulph. deficiency..Been there done that..Never again !! Hope this helps...happy growing!!

what's wrong with metanaturals?

what's wrong with metanaturals?

I seem to be one of very few who voted for metanaturals, why do you suppose this is? I just switched to metanaturals from the EJ line, primarily for the simplicity of a two/three part mix versus the multi-part (5 bottles for me) mix of earth juice. Plus there seems to be the added advantage of less ph drop, and a far more pleasant odor.
Now I have noticed that with both of these organic nutes that the magnesium seems to be lacking and both nute lines need supplements of magnesium. Even the EJ microblast does not supply enough mag. for my girls. other than that, the metanaturals line performs better than the EJ. Increased growth rate, apparently faster budset, shorter internodal length. all-in-all i'd have to say that after many yrs. of using organic nutes exclusively, that the metanaturals most meets my needs.
good luck everyone who chooses to grow organically, because it comes down more to feel, than a definite formula. It is unlikely, perhaps impossible, that two growers with the exact same setups, exact same strain, and exactly the same feeding, would end up with identical results using organic methods, although i'm not sure how possible it would be with chems. either.
so my advice - listen to your plants and they will tell you what they need.
peAce and happy growing,
stay safe,
pacT
P.S. pure metanaturals results for the non-believers

A root bound pot will also cause yellowing. I say repot and add some N, if plant is young foliar spray with L Karma will help.
