Where to buy/ best breeder for C99 and Kushes

I'm really interested in C99 and all KUSH strains.

First off, I'd really like to know which breeder has the best C99 and which has the best KUSH. I'm open to try any type of kush, Bubba, Black, Pure, you name it, I want it.

Can someone point me in the right direction. Tell me about your experiences with the strains and breeders. Which type of kush made you smile. Anything helps. I'm just really confused right now. Since I've never tryed growing either strain from any breeder I dont have a clue. I dont want to buy dud genetics. I want the real deal. Asking for help from you with first hand experience is the best info I can get.

I've heard brothers grimm has an amazing C99 but have no clue where to buy the beans. As far as the Kush goes... I know nothing. Just want something that will have me and my friends comin' back for MORE!

Thanks guys

I've been looking for C99 and Apollo too so please let us know..

and the only Kush I've grown so far was Master Kush which was one of Nirvanas best.. IMO..

But since they are 50% skunk#1 there probably are a lot of hefty oldschool Kush out there which I don't have a clue about...

wallyduck has the best c99 offering right now, f5's i think.

If you want kushes wait for rez to finish work on his kush lines, they will likely be very nice.

Reeferman is on a kush craze right now as well with some OG, Bubba, and Charles' Kush projects kickin.

Plural of Kush (POK) has some nice Hindu Kush x Master Kush beans if they are still around.

MK Ultra is another stand out

WOW, thanks for all the replies.

Soul Fert', is that one a stinker?

Space Ghost, wally's c99 collection caught my eye as I was browsing seedboutiqe. What one do you think is the best cross?

Texas, wow, great info man, thanks. Something I forgot to add, it can't be too smelly unless it smells fruity or like bubble gum. Speaking of bubble gum, hows the smell on bubba kush? Is it skunky or fruity/bubbleieieie......? Does it even smell strong?

Are there any other kushes that wont be smelly?

Thanks again

P.S. I dont see bubba kush on the reefer website, where can I find it?

He (RM) has way more goin on than what is represented on his seed list. Get into his forums a little in the "new strains ready for delivery" thread

Also Suge, sorry I can't remember his company name right now but he has "leopard kush" as well as some others.

There is an OG Kush x Blue Satellite floatin around somewhere also

Nirvana has a couple kush hybrids on the menu and they are cheap.

If ya can find some of Tom Hills " Pine Tar Kush" it is out of this world.

Im still not sure what KUSH means? Can anyone define KUSH. If that is a stupid question, I don't care. Smack me in the teeth all you want, but I've been looking for a definition of Kush and can't find one. Haze either....

5+ years and all people really ask for is the skunk or dro or chronic. Noone asks for Kush, so I never bothered to pay attention... :badday:

Now, I thought, what exactly does the name Kush refer to? I know there is a mountain range called the Hindu Kush so I googled that name:

The Hindu Kush mountain system in central Asia extends for 1,000 km (600 mi) in parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Tajikistan. With about two dozen peaks surpassing 7,000 m (23,000 ft), the range reaches its highest point in Pakistan’s highlands, where the peak known as Tirich Mīr rises 7,690 m (25,230 ft) above sea level.

The Hindu Kush, which marks the fault line of the Iranian and Eurasian tectonic plates, runs more or less from the east to the west, and many small rivers run down from its slopes to the north, deposeting sediments on the foothills and the plain that runs parallel to the mountain range. Consequently, this is a very fertile area, where farmers produced wheat and barley in very ancient times.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu-Kush

The Hindu Kush, Hindū Kūsh, Hindoo Koosh or Hindukush (Persian: هندوکش, Hindi: हिन्दु कुश) is a mountain range in Afghanistan as well as in NWFP and Northern Areas of Pakistan. It is the westernmost extension of the Pamir Mountains, the Karakoram Range, and the Himalaya.

Here's a map that shows you the location of the Hindu Kush range:

And here's a picture of the Hindu Kush:

Wikipedia has a good article that throws some light on the Kush hype:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kush_(herb)

Kush refers to a family of cannabis strains, belonging to the genus C. indica, that originated in the Hindu Kush region. It has been heavily domesticated and interbred since its discovery by Western society, thus none can be sure of its exact ancestry. Due to its indica genetics, kush grows into a short, thick plant, with one main cola (as opposed to sativa strains, which usually produce multiple stalks). Kush is widely revered by cannabis users for its pungent aroma, pleasant taste, and high THC content.

Characteristics

Kush itself refers not to a single strain of cannabis, but a vaguely defined family of strains, and there are many types. However, almost all kush strains share common characteristics and qualities that distinguish them from other strains of cannabis. Most kush possesses a powerful sweet and spicy aroma, differing among types but easily recognizable. Like many other potent cannabis strains, kush produces extraordinary numbers of trichomes, the tiny exterior glands responsible for THC-production. Coloration varies by strain and growing conditions - the buds usually exhibit colors of green, orange or purple, with colors tending to be more bright and vibrant than average cannabis buds. When cured properly, the buds are large, soft, and resinous, breaking easily into small bits (a quality cherished by many smokers). The general structure of a kush bud is one of its most recognizable characteristics, as the leaflets are stubby and short, and the buds curl tightly into themselves - most cannabis is denser, darker, with less trichomes, and has more free-ranging leaves.

Strains

Kush has been bred and interbred by Western growers since as early as the 1940's, and as such many of the current kushes are not original strains, having been created in the past century. Nobody knows which strain, if any, fathered the wide array available today, however its geography places kush in the running as one of the oldest (and thus subject to natural selection for longer) cannabis types in existence. The list below includes hybrids (strains crossed with other types of cannabis, such as sativa). Since cannabis has been illegalized in the US, the terminology and strain names are unregulated, sometimes causing multiple names to surface for a single strain, or even completely fictional names. As such the strains are divided into two categories: those that definitely exist, and those that may be one-off generations or merely slang.

Confirmed Strains

* Og Kush
* Hindu Kush
* Bubba Kush
* California Kush
* Pure Kush
* Orange Kush
* Master Kush
* Lavender Kush
* Purple Kush (also POG, PK x OG K.)
* Grandaddy (Purple) Kush
* Kushage (a S.A.G.E. hybrid)
* Afghan Kush (sometimes known as AK, not to be confused with AK-47)
* Blueberry Kush (not to be confused with Blueberry, a separate cannabis strain)
* BC Kush
* Rasta Kush

Unconfirmed Strains

* Olive Shack Kush
* Kotton Kandy
* Candlestick Kush
* Pink Kush
* Sour Kush (possibly a cross with Sour Diesel/ChemDawg)
* Mango Kush
* Evergreen Kush (most likely a cross between straight DNUG/Northern Lights)

This is from The "Dark Kush" thread here on IC, the pics didn't copy over so check that thread

Joey Weed has C99 F2's at Hemp Depot.
As for the Kushes, if you're after the sought after Cali Kushes then you might have to settle for crosses since all those Kushes are only available in clone form. There are a couple of OG Kush crosses such as MK Ultra, Kushage and Burmese Kush from TH Seeds. The Hindu Kush can be bought from Sensi Seeds and Master Kush from Dutch Passion.

Sorry, You will have to ask SamS about the origins of the first hazes in the states, I am pretty sure he was there when the made up the name for that particular version of C.Sativa and he is real familiar with the legend of the infamous Haze Brothers.

I do not think "haze" is genetics specific to a region of the world like kush but rather a marketing name created back in the day.

Hey Texas, thanks for donating so much info man!

I was wondering, is bubba kush a stinker...? thanks

I would assume so considering it's from the kush family. I don't know why people worry about how bud is going to smell, honestly weed is going to smell strong no matter what type of strain it is. Sure, some smell less than others. But out of the 15+ strains i've grown all of them had a strong odor. Plus, no matter how strong the smell is, you should use some type of odor control anyways. Bubba kush isn't available in seed form, it's clone only as are most of the "elite" kushes. And in S1 seed form, most of them aren't nearly as good as the real deal. If you want to have a consistant kush that is up to par with the "elite" kushes your naming, your going to have to get some clones. Either that, or grow out a bunch of plants until you get an insane pheno and then clone her.

I've grown out C99 from both Wallyduck's F5's and also the GN Collection feminised ones. (Both bought from seedboutique)

There's not much difference between the two, both quality, but Wallyduck has stabilised to F5 for the pineapple pheno (the best one!), whereas the GN one will also give you other (boring IMO) phenos. From the 3 seeds i've grown I got 2 pineapples and 1 other, which may have been the so-called "grapefruit pheno" which didn't have even the slightest hint of pineapple, as if genetically non-existant. It was fine in its own rights, but nowhere near as good as the pineapple.

True say Pheno!

The pineapple pheno sounds so fucking nice bro! I want that bitch..
correct me if I'm wrong but I dont think wally sells c99 alone without it being corssed. Atleast on seedboutique. I'll take another look.

Haahaa, stupid me, they're the first on the list. Also the cheapest!
Well thats good news. Do you think I should just go for the c99 f5 alone, no crosses? C99 is pretty bomb so I dont know if it'd be better or worse with the crosses. Plus its the pineapple pheno!

Yes he also sells F5s of pure C99, not crossed. I got mine from Seedboutique, maybe he has sold out but if that's the case I'm sure there'll be some more in the next month or two as I recall Wallyduck saying recently that he had reseeded because there's a lot of requests for it

Absolutely. I have no interest in any C99 crosses at this stage, although I'm sure they're nice, but I just love everything about the pure pineapple pheno ... fast flowering, soaring sativa high, very resinous, looks great, smells like pineapple, and tastes exactly like it smells, so I'm almost scared to try a C99 cross in case not all of those qualities have been retained :)

Here's the Wallyduck C99 F5 i harvested just last night (good timing for Xmas)

She's only a short little thing because I only vegged her for 3 weeks, and she also ran out of water for a couple days while I was away so that stunted her growth a bit but she bounced back well and you can see that even at harvest time and even after being on a nutrient-free flushing diet of plain water for the past 2 weeks she's still looking quite healthy. Total flowering time was 56 days so exactly 8 weeks at which stage I felt she was perfect.

Closer pic of some of her buds:
