Nice TBold. I have incredible running on Cricket network. Cheap, but gets the job done. I really like the Samsung Galaxy phone line

I heard about that yesterday myself! Good news indeed. Although I wonder if Sprint will put some sort of blocks on its phones. I hear the carrier has input also as to what sort of security measurements goes on their phones...

I think it was a smart move on their end. There will be no stopping rooting. I think they realized this.

I hope so. Maybe in 10 years cell phones will replace PC's, you'll just dock ur cell into a keyboard and monitor...
I saw a dude with a Thunderbolt yesterday in the checkout line, he said it was an awesome phone, and he didnt even root his.

I left mine unrooted the first week I had it, but I wanted to root just because of somethings that I could do to my phone. I wanted better battery life, take screen shots easily and to remove the bloatware at first, then I just started seeing more and more that I could do with it. Most requires root.

I've had a rooted OG Droid since they were released. Still going strong! I recently picked up an Asus Transformer tablet, and it's the shit! My laptop is going up on craigslist very soon.

XDA is the best resource for rooting and roms info.

I get all my hacked apps and games at mobilism.org This is a great resource for apps and games for all mobile platforms. Yo ho ho, I be a pirate for life!

Never knew about mobilism. Good little spot there. Seems like a lot of it comes from Market Militia aka Blapk Market. Theyre awesome crackers.

Love XDA. I think I spend more time there than anywhere else. Feel free to add me to friends on there, same forum name.

Got specs on the laptop? Im actually looking for one. I only run AMD though. :p

Thanks for the mobilism tip, hope to make use of it in the near future. :tiphat:
Why only AMD? The latest PC I built was with an AMD Phenom 2, 3.4gh quad core. It rocks, takes any app including Photoshop5 I throw at it and begs for more. But I think my next PC might be an i7 hackintosh/win7 machine... I know AMD's price point is very nice but isnt Intel comfortably ahead of AMD in the CPU technology curve?

The new Sandy Bridge CPUs from Intel (Intel i5/i7 2300, 2400, 2500 ...) are faster than AMD's Phenom X6 1100T and Phenom X4 975.

Review by Xbitlabs

The Intel mainboards aren't optimized for multiple VGA configurations, though.

Trying not to get off topic, but those SB i5's look sweeettt...

June 24th looks like the launch date for the 3D. Put in my preorder yesterday :).

McLab, how often do you flash your phone? Have you ever tried Cyanogenmod? I hear CM7 is particularly popular...

Sbf'd back to stock, re-rooted, installed the 2 part file (odexed version first) then laid the deodexed version on top of that, done deal homie...p3droid I think explains in more detail. Just follow the step by step, I still had the oldradio version which is why I hadto do it that way, sounds like you will too.

Got me some GB loving for my stock Evo 4g on Friday.
Not much in the way of bling, but battery life and browser speed are greately improved.

On the off topic AMD/Intel debate. The Sandy Bridge chips will wipe anything AMD has right now. It's not even close.
I'm not an Intel fanboi. I still have my socket 939 Opteron 170 OC'd to 2.8 as my main desktop. Hopefully Bulldozer will be more promising than Phenom.

Screenshots. Lol. Meh the evo can lick my bolts empty batteries. It's an alright phone but their 4g is a joke. its the older brother of my bolt. As long as you're not going crazy why buy the tethering package? Just use barnacle. It's free.

Sent from my rooted, ROMMED Bolt with a custom kernel and theme.

So is this a thread for android users or a place for you to bash anyone who doesn't have a T-Bolt or use Verizon?

I'm getting a consistent 10 MB down and 1.5 MB up on Sprint 4G. How's that so bad? No data caps here, either.

You do realize, the T-bolt is a rehashed Evo with more ROM? How innovative.
