indica leaning will stretch around x1.5 to x2 it's size - ie flipped at 12 inches = 18-24 inches after stretch
sativa leaning will be around x3 stretch so 12 inches = 36 inches (some such as SSSDH can stretch more like x4)
topping and suppercropping... it's not as hard as it might sound mate... if I had plants that were 18 inches tall and I wanted them to be 12, I would just cut the 6 inches off the top and plant them (rooted it in a starter cube)...supper cropping is a method that requires you to snap the stems (in this case at 12 inches) but without breaking the bark/skin so it is floppy, but still attached, then you lay that snapped branch horizontally in such a way as it's supported by a neighbour and after a day or 2 it will start to grow vertically again..
Ok that info helps a bit. looks like a good way to keep an even canopy. So is it possible to also top or supercrop a plant during its first week of 12/12 or must it be during veg? If possible I may go on and try those methods on 2 of my taller plants which are on day 3 of 12/12.
its ok to supercrop during flowering... the severe topping might shock them a bit and put them out of whack so better advised for when in veg....
when supercropping, pinch the stem to soften it inside a little then using forefinger and thumb gently bend it til it breaks inside.. try not to break the outside but if you do a little it's probably going to be ok...theres probably videos on youtube (seems to have everything else anyway)
