What's the most unfortunate bust you've heard of?

It's not actually a bust but one guy around here, he was an electrician, had six plants in his back yard, and he made an electric fence around the plants and connected it to the mains power, so there was like 240 volts going through it.
His neighbour jumped the fence to steal the plants and got electrocuted.
He got convicted of murder or manslaughter, I forget which.
Not worth it for six plants.

I would think the prospect of having to explain the presence of a corpse (or the fun that goes along with task of discreetly performing a cheap burial) would have encouraged the electrician to tone down the fence a bit. An electrician would certainly kno-w what that kind of voltage is capable of! (The neighbor deserved at least a little shock if you ask me.... F'ing rippers!)

An electrician would know it's not the volts but the amps that will kill you.

I've got a messed up one that happened to me but don't want to disclose for security reasons. Let's just say I was trying to help someone out and paid the price.
Was up in Oakland(deep east) yesterday visiting my buddy(while holding) and saw two separate cars getting searched with all the occupants out of them. I look like a nice little white boy so I usually get left alone up there. lol
My buddy has been shot twice:eek:
He's very security minded as you might imagine.............

be careful out there man! some dude i went to high school with moved to 88th street thinking it would be cool, cheap rent, hipsters livin in the hood trendy shit...he got shot in the neck last week, luckily he survived. some black kid came up behind him, put a gun to his neck and told him to empty his pockets. when he tried to squirm away dude popped him and ran away...its fuckin wild out in the east. i never get out of my car whenever i drive through there...keep it movin!

Concealed carry and a bunch of easy to get to ones in a roll for bait to get you outta the trap will go a long way. Hand them the cash, act nervous and drop it on the ground "accidentally" and shoot them when they go to pick it up...call the cops and secure the area till they get there...fuck head won't be trying that shit again!

In high school they held "career day".
The local popo set up their little desk with some literature on it and also bring a dog in so they can tell anyone who may be interested how great it is to be a cop.
Stoner student walks by the dog with some weed in his pocket and gets busted in front of about 200 people. Very unfortunate. LOL.

this guy I know, who was about 60 when this happened, started to date a very beautiful 22 year old girl; the grandmother of the girl was not pleased at all, she called a police chief who was a friend of hers, informed him that the 60 year old man grew ganja, and he is still in jail. end of story.

theres getting busted by the cops and then theres getting busted by a grower.

When I was in High School a friend who everyone knew had a Redneck dad who kinda became well known for having weed when the town was dry. We always knew old SoandSo's must have been growing in his back swamp area. THe buds were pretty tasty too! Well, a few of the little rich boy stoners, who always had weed anyways decided that they were going to rip off their friends dad. They famously showed a few people a trash bag or two of fresh buds they had stolen. Of course after the word got around they decided to go back and score some more free herb.

Now I should remind you this is the sort of redneck with a Doberman and Rottweilers, and who drives a very big lifted truck... so needless to say hes no dumby when it comes to punks. The story I heard is that he was sitting in a tree with a shotgun when they went back on the third night. Supposedly he sat on one kids chest with the gun pointed into the ground next to his head... and told them under no uncertain terms what would happen if he ever say there pretty little asses again.

I think every bust is tragic but the 'worst' one was definitely en entire 3 generations of a family...

This one is pretty unfortunate. Just happened across it on the yahoo main page yesterday.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Police say a five-year-old Connecticut boy brought 50 packets of heroin to school for show and tell, and his stepfather has been arrested.
Bridgeport police tell the Connecticut Post that 35-year-old Santos Roman went to the Barnum School on Monday to retrieve the drugs and found police waiting for him.
He was detained on $100,000 bail on risk of injury to a minor and drug charges.
Police say the boy wore Roman's jacket to school Monday.
When it came time for his show-and-tell presentation, the kindergartner displayed bags of heroin. The teacher confiscated the drugs and told the principal, who called police.
The boy was put in state custody until other relatives could be located.
