What’s the best software for recording streaming music?

Does anyone have any first hand experience with recording music from SPOTIFY or Apple Music?
The review sites appear fake and tailored to push for their brand. Some music recorders operate as several companies.

Audacity. Free. I used to input from the SIRI or XM into the sound card of my 'puter directly from the stereo pre-amp. Record the stream, input it to Audicity, break it down in to individual songs, save them as MP3, rip CDs. I have a stereo Sony pocket recorder that goes straight into Audacity, that I used to record my sleep sound and co-relate to a ring that measured my SPO2 and pulse. Homebrew sleep study. Carry that recorder to a concert and rip the whole thing.
