no what is this?

Terence Mckenna developed a mathematical theory or map of time. He says that the universe was not born from a singularity but that we are heading for the singularity at the end of time which will arrive on dec 21 2012.

Several people have tried to debunk his timewave and 1 guy actually found an error in his calculations but another mathematician corrected it and it's now even more accurate :joint:

It's basically a wave that maps the flow of 'novelty' and 'habit'. And when we come to 2012 we reach a singularity of ultimate novelty.

With the mayans and lots of other ancient tribes with their prophecies concerning 2012 and also Terence Mckenna and his Timewave Zero software it seems to me there are way too many thiongs pointing to something extraordinary happening at that time.
Also Terence Mckenna says he received some of the information concerning 2012 through the use of magic mushrooms....and the mayans and other tribes also used mushrooms and other hallucinogens in their rituals...something to ponder :chin:

very interesting thread indeed.

I really like that quote about religion from Bill Hicks..it's so damn true!

When I've done mushrooms I've always felt like a super human or like I had some special powers and more awareness. I always feel like I can look right at a person's soul and tell exactly who they are when I'm tripping. Mushrooms are very special tools that should be used to gain a higher understanding of one self, the universe and other people.

mushrooms and lsd definatly expand your mind, there was quite a few times i layed in bed at the end of my trip and had the universe figured out like the back of my hand lol.

we're all gonna die!!!

ok, someone had to say it

ps, mushrooms are quite delightful. it just sometimes gets to me that some people don't want to take them again or don't want to take them period, because they think it's a game... as in just for fun or they won't be able to handle it. "yeah lets trip out" kinda stuff or "no way i'm trying that" (even though they have tried coke numerous times). i'm like, you have it all backwards [you retard]. maybe that bad trip i had was for the better... no no, it was.

I think some sin is obvious, like gay marriage. Come on, it is obvious that a dick was not meant to go in an asshole
Dude, you're going to get yourself lynched for the pure ignorance of that BS.

Has anyone looked into the 2012 theories?
Dude, it's just an old calender someone dusted off in the jungles. You know what the differance between us and the Mayans is?

We're still around to CONTINUE our calender to X date. You really think if someone decided to erect a damn calender monument that represents....Oh for the sake of argument, let's say it's from 2006 until 2486. Now, assuming humans are still around in 480 years, ya think maybe some nut just might notice that the calender ends in 2486 and declare it the end of the world? OF COURSE, fruitcakes are always screaming about doomsday bullcrap, it's been going on for hundreds of years already. (Thank you christianity :jerkit: )

And no, I don't think or feel or whatnot that the world is coming to and end. I don't think we're on the verge of WW3, either----YET. History repeats itself, but I just don't think a third world war's around the corner just yet.

Hey, T2U, if you think the planet's going to go bone dry, where's all the water going to disappear to? Space? Gravity moreso than the atmosphere kinda keeps it here, although they both help :D
Water's a versatile thing, it freezes, it remains a liquid, with enough heat, it's steam---a natural shapeshifter of sorts, it never really "disappears", just...changes form. Gotta consider that one....

Nikijad4210, The calendar doesn't just end on that date...the Mayans actually predicted that it would be the end of this world and the birth of a new 'golden age'.
They didn't simply end the calendar because they couldn't be bothered continuing it.

They say that by 2012 we will have gone beyond time and money.

Humans go beyond money...In 2012...Us? Homo Sapiens?

You know, maybe the Mayans made a numerical error and ment 3012.

Mankind beyond money in 6 years, lmfao :biglaugh:
Riiiiight, lol.

Sorry, I know some of you are seriously into that stuff, but please, we'll never be beyond good ol' $$ in just 6 years from that date.

End of the world?

End of the world?

Nah, just the end of us and most other living creatures(damn roaches and corn will survive)...but we probably deserve it!

Joe agnost here pretty thoroughly pissed at what religion has done to the people of the world. The way I see it religion strips the power from the people by telling them they have to do right or fear the wrath of god. Funny that we have an egocentric god that's concerned about how much i fear/pray/bow to him/her etc... Good to know he/she takes me so seriously though...

It's no wonder that the people who control the religious tides use fear to sway their flocks of sheeple to do the biddings of SATAN. Millions have died for religious wars yet god has yet to step in and declare which side is right. No real god would allow that manipulative bs in his/her name...

So I say fuck god and religion and all that bullshit that's used simply as a way of controlling those who aren't strong enough to believe in themselves and resultingly in their fellow man. Mankind is real and is inflicting real damage on this planet and its inhabitants. God, must not really care for us if he let all this shit go down huh? If god really did leave it all up to us, then why should I spend my life fearing him instead of working towards good knowing I've got his support? Gets right back to the ego thing and that is all man.

I choose to pursue learning about the real forces of life: love, hapiness, intrigue, coincidence, disbelief, the sunset, the oceans, the magical herb, the look of wonder in a child's face, etc...

Trust yourselves and try giving people the benefit of the doubt and a little respect until they show you they don't deserve it. Then move on and show someone else some unearned respect. It's funny how many different types of people you can get along with just by showing a little bit of respect. And it feels better than showing disrespect until respect is earned...

doobie! :joint:

Man, they didn't just randomly decide on the length of time and it so happened to end on 2012. Please, before you are going to argue a point in a thread, at least do a little bit of research. If you had done some research you would of seen that, first of all, the mayan calander is not just some calander, but it is also incredibly accurate in its alignment with the solar system... something that is an incredible achievment considering their lack of advanced technology.

Again, i am not an expert of the calanders but I can explain them so that you can see a little more evidence here. There are three different calanders each representing a different length of time. I don't remember the exact duration of each calander but basically the mayans had a calander made up of shorter cycles and then longer cycles. A certain amount of shorter cycles equaling a longer cycle and so on for the third cycle. The third cycle duration is very long...something like a couple thousand years. 2012 is a date where the third and final cycle ends. There are no more past that and it was the predicted end of the world. This whole calander, again, is very accurate with solar events (seasons changing, galactic alignments, etc) even up to 2012. Its also predicted that close to the time of the end we will be in some sort of chaos. Does whats going on right now not feel like chaos?

And being beyond time and money may not be a reference to what humans on earth will become leading up to 2012... but I'd say it will be as a result of whatever happens in 2012. 2012 the action, beyond time and money the consequence.

Anyway, this is all saying that I believe the 2012 thing, which i'm not sure I do. I'll admit there are some convincing points, but it still feels unreal.
