Swordfish..... a creation of mine (OTLB Seed Collective)
It takes a super stanky fast flowering male Shiskaberry 3 f2 that was frosty all thru veg and crosses to a classic BC clone only, Black Tuna (herijuana x lambs bread).
Swordfish is the F1 in what will be an inbred line with the Black Tuna cut. I intend to follow the cubing process to hopefully end up with a stable seedline most resembling the Black Tuna parent cut. I released 500 beans to seedbay in 2016 and sent off 300 more to another outfit a couple weeks ago.
there is an ongoing thread in the seedbay forum section.

ya I've got a pile of baked beanz gear and still undecided as to which ones will best suit my climate. Ran the ojsdkb f2 #2 last summer and might try again but ya, the rest of my undecideds are all baked beanz stuff hehehe

Thanks for that...sounds like a gem of a cross.

DO WHO YOU BE
Veteran
Seeds are:

40 seeds of AOG from Motherloade gardens (full season)

100 pack of Lemon Og from Ganja Rebel (deps)

50 pack of Bruce Banner from Dark Horse Genetics (deps and full season)

10 pack(s) of South Fork Kush (deps)

7 pack(s) of South Fork Cherry Chem (deps)

Clones:

Killer Queen from Rez Dog (deps)
Ancient Og from Bodhi (full season)
Long Valley Kush x Legened Og (deps)

Goals for the year, find more breeding stock and narrow down my final flavors. With over a hundred strains grown last year, I need to narrow things down. Dispensaries don't like 31 flavors every time you come in.
good call on the AOG for full season, i like your dep selections too. similar to what i would run

seems like 2003 is when the kush craze started in socal. before that there were a lot of blueberry, white widow, purps, but after about '03 everyone started askin for kush. i think it got up to like 6 or 7k per lb for a while.

1996 not many knew what og was. definitely didnt control the market back then iirc although i didnt start smokin until '99 so wtf do i know

2003 when OG came out online I thought Zips of bubba and og kush were retailing 500 in the valley around that same time and only blew up from there probably from the access to s1 seeds

If you make concentrates or have some kind of boutique company then flavors are cool cause you can market them and sell em as small batch or whatever and make a little niche if you really work at it...other avenue is to look at cali biggest market , Los Angeles, top strains down there are og sherbert cookies wedding cake etc , so if you want to feed that, hitting em with high quality batches of strains like that is where it's at.

If you're gonna grow 7 packs of cherry Chem out u should find a pheno real close to Zkittlez. Two different people have told me they came up on something that is VERY similar and they're growing more seed to find it again. They say it comes out late so clone them all

Woohoo.
Threw out my Sky Lotus. My people really do not like it. They'd rather have Blue Dream.

I'm growing dinafem Super Critcal Haze
and south fork Kaya's Dream full season.
Might get some earlier girls too (Mr. Nice?)

Got lots starting and looking for winners indoor. Headed to the deps from there. My helper was ambitious and has a huge appetite. Probably need another flower room or maybe a help from a neighbor.

Sunset sherbet , Deadhead OG and the White clones. These probably won't make it to the deps. The deadhead phenos are getting a second chance at life. We'll see in a few week.

Seed mom hunt:

Swampboy Apocalypto
South Fork Choc Lemon x chem
South Fork Cherry Chem
South Fork Blue Dream x(sour diesel x durban poison) x chemdawg bc1
Dinafem Lemon Sour Diesel

Holding MTG Extra Cheese too that my helper wants to dep.

What happened to the Cheese? She's fell by the wayside.

Stoked to hear this about the cherry chem. I really like the rosin that cross produces. I had some cherry chem from bodhi that killed it.

How do you think your SFK fairs in the LA market?

I'm hopefully going full season in gh, high elevation just under 5000ft, 800g pots, training plants out vs up. Can't wait to chunk full season girls up with co2 in flower

As of now I'm thinking 60% of crop will be sour d from clone, 20% green crack from clone, and the remaining either South fork kush c, or gas leak b from seed. Would love to run more from seed but I'll be scrambling to make this happen and I'm worried I'll run out of space vegging. I have had thoughts of just keeping it simple 60/40 sour , gc because of veg space concerns

Hi Livinit, as I can see from your strains selection you definitely grow in Canada... I personally didn't have grown these strains recently but some of my friends did. The real Freezeland (M33 - Friesland from the SSSC) would absolutely be my first choice. Cut from the early 90's are still circulating in Qc and On, if you're lucky you may be able to get your hand on it... The pink freezeland would be an alternative. The Manitoba Poison and the Guerrilla Gold also perform very good in short summer area (fast fast fast flowering...) but I doubt it could reach the quality of the Freezeland. If you can't find the real Freezeland, you should definitely consider Green Crack from HSO (1989 SSSC Skunk#1 and an isolated Afghani cut).... Awesome strain!!!

Thanks Darpa for your inputs, I ordered the Freezeland from bush brothers. I'm thinking this strain will preform... only way to find out is to pop them this summer and wait.

The strains that had very positive feedback along side freeze land is the guerilla gold. I have high expectations for both these girls.

I'm gonna have all them at about 50 latatude see who does the best. I'll make sure to let everyone know how they do this upcoming season.

Hi Livinit, I'm a really interested to know what you'll get from the Freezeland seeds from Bush Brother. There is few SD that offer FL or FL cross but they don’t always rely on the Original SSSC strain to make their seeds, since the association closed several years ago. It’s pretty hard to get the original cut or seeds. I used to grow their seeds when I was younger, but I didn’t realized the importance of genetic preservation at that time. Unfortunately, many of the Seeds Bank that offer FL do not use the original genetic…

I know that there is some other Canadian SC that are selling Freezeland seeds and Freezeland cross but, at my understanding, they didn't use the original genetic from the SSSC SB. Knowing that, I’m always sceptical about Company that offer FL seeds… Regarding the Bush Brother SD, they advertise their Freezeland Strain as an IBL, but it’s clearly not. It’s a Bx hybrid of a cross of M45 (Pluto 2 from SSSC) with a Freezeland Cut from Quebec (Canada). You may get an awesome strain, it all depend of when Bush Brother acquired their cut. There was a huge genetic drift from the SSSC Freezeland genetic found in Qc over the years. If the parent strain are the original SSSC strain (M33 - M45), you are a lucky guy, if it’s the Freezeland degraded genetic available in QC in the last decade… it’s a different story. Your next grow season will give us an indication. You should start a thread for your next grow, I’ll be watching.

I wish you the best of luck!!!
