Yeah, it's in all 50 states. I'm pretty sure we're fucked. Not enough hospitals for this shitstorm brewing. It's going to be like Italy in all 50 states.

Just heard ISIS followers are being told to stay out of Europe and wash their hands. LMAO

"Let me tell you, i'm doing a fantastic job, 10 out of 10, a perfect job, the number will be down to zero very soon, we've almost got it locked down.... and did you notice my fingers?'

He says that if he knew earlier it would have been better, when he knew months ago but didn't do anything.... passing the buck is all he ever does.
He just lies as if everyone hasn't seen him on video downplaying it and saying how on top of it they were. Freaking crazy.

To be honest I don't want this to become a political discussion. Also, because we are early into it it's hard to judge what will be going on at it's peak or after, but we can all post our points of view.
I am amazed by the lack of education in the masses of people, but that can't be fixed or changed within one generation. Also, since most people don't know how to grow their own food, we can consider ourselves blessed regarding our green thumbs. This crysis really motivated me to plant as much food for this year as I can, and I will keep the trend. But how do we help others? Do we teach them, do we grow and sell to them? I could put togheter an automated green house where you only need to plant and harvest pretty easy, but I think growing food is though even then, if you don't know when somethin is ripe, or when plants aren't doing that well. I'm really thinking of a system where a grower can tend multiple locations at once with short visits at all of them, kind of an urban growers club. Imagine what could be done in a system like that with a lots of available rooftops and lots of people willing to participate.

Oh man, Exploziv my friend...
I know a couple businessmenn from China who are looking to invest in production in the baltic states as soon as possible.

Extremely weird times... but also like the calm before the storm.
I'm in s Germany right now and weed prices are starting to go up!
Makes me think a quick grow... 3 months... weed will be in short supply shortly unless you grow your own and no one will mess with you as LEO have other things to do at the moment.

Stay safe and healthy Exploziv!

The availability of food long term doesn't jump out at me as the thing to falter first. IMO it looks weird right now because everyone stocked up at once but it doesn't seem to be stopping regular deliveries. Food was already in process when these precautions were put into place....and farmers will still probably farm as long as the virus doesn't kill them all (which would be pretty weird, right? all of them?); intl trade will still go off (as far as we know...maybe a little slower?) Certainly if you farm your own, you can be really confident as to it's cleanliness and your own sustainability.

The big, big thing long term (again, IMO) is just making sure the worldwide economy doesn't bottom out. Tourism/hotel/contractors/niche dollars are all gone starting now. Those people need a bail out for the next couple months to return to any sort of normalcy.

Immediately everyone around the world needs medical supplies. Can we start assembly lines for ventilators someway, somehow?

Perhaps a long term benefit is that more and more will turn to volunteerism and remember that civic duty is not just for your country but for the world over. Antithetically, I wouldn't care too much if people with 'city hoodlum' fears crawled in a deep hole and never came out. That's just me, though.

If the supply chain broke down, the food would back up on the farms.
I agree it’s fairly unlikely, but hey, if it gets people growing.

Well Italy just passed China as deaths go.. I keep asking myself if China should be trusted regerding the numbers it puts out.. My opinion is they either lie or they just sealed people in their homes and they shoot anyone that gets out. Deaths from hunger and guns don't count in the covid stats, right?
It's crazy to think italians were more prepared and had an warning from what was happening in China before it started to happen to them, but they are still overwhelmed in less than 1 month. And it still gets worse day by day.

I agree, if this virus really stays around for any length of time it will trigger a huge rise in home grown food.... and will motivate me to put in more effort in my food garden.

Victory Garden....worked before. We plan to grow more root crops (better for longer storage).

Living rurally for 20 some years...we had 2 of everything in case it broke down. Rather than the PANIC HOARDING, buy what you need and add 20%.

Yes, this is a wake up call! Had qualms there would be toxic water globally....this being a virus, as most viruses do, they mutate.

Better to enjoy the simple things in Life and not take it for granted.

People in China do as they're told.

We just had somebody on a local facebook group moaning they had it, and couldn't find any bread in the supermarket. Could we help them out. There kid was as school.

North Korea have kept the south well regimented for years.

It would be nice to think that it'll bring people together and people will start working with each other, supporting each other, teaching those not in the know how to be more self sustainable, just generally doing better things for humanity as a whole. I'm sadly not sure if that's possible on a worldwide scale.

Mostly, I see the world-wide economy collapsing in a bigger way than ever in the past. The US dollar will probably lose it's buying power and the Chinese Yuan will become the worldwide standard for economic power. Probably won't effect the majority of us in a huge way, but we'll all have to start looking at more sustainable ways to remain on this planet, so that's a positive I guess.

hi Ex, of course they've lied, how could it be possible otherwise.
their first cases are from mid november, some "rumor spreader doctors" start to urge their chiefs early december, they start to shut-down cities early january right? so in 45 days they just had these 300/400 deaths? come on...!!!
