What's a realist yield?

I have five plants 15" and two 9". I started to flower them yesterday. I was hoping for a yield of 42-56 grams per plant and maybe 28 grams from the little girls. I'm gonna assume the 5 will finish around 30"-38". The little 2 around 20"-24". I'm growing with a 1000hps. The garden consists of: 2 Morning Dew,1 Cali Orange, 2 SilverSpice, and 2 Shiskeberry. The SilverSpice are only 9" tall. Any comments or suggestions to reach my desired goal? I'm flowering now because I want this in time for Christmas.

5 plants will go nice under 1k...what size are you grow bags? were those grown from seed?

I think five are 5 gal and two are 1 gal. I'm not sure. Yes, they were grown from seed. I plan on cloning next week.

How long have they been flowering for?
I would put the smaller girls on pedstals to get a more even canopy...you shouldnt be dissapointed with yeild...If you plan on keeping the others in the 1 gallon bags you will have too water maybe 2x a day....a gallon per ounce I think thats the saying

If you started to flower them yesterday,thats when you should have taken cuts.You dont want to wait a week to do it,the longer you wait the more retarted your clones are going to turn out.Try to always take you cuts before 12/12

I just started yesterday 10-15. I plan on transplanting the little ones to a bigger to finish up. Yeah I figured the yield shouldn't be too far off, but I guess I'l find out. I'm just not trying to get 5' trees in the closet.

Thanks Skeletor. I was trying to let the lower branches get a little longer. I didn't think taking cutting a week into flowering hurt the clones. I'm thinking that first week in there still growing anyway. When you say retarted what do you mean? They have a better chance of turing hermie?

no way! If it was my grow I would shoot for 70g of each plant....but since you started to flower already I say 56g off each plant is realistic...nice grow btw

By retarted I mean cuts that are full of pistils in the veg stage and funky non-serrated single and three bladed fans.Some strains may not react badly to just 7 days of 12/12,but some definately will without a doubt.Especially if you plan on taking clones from clones for any length of time,its real important to take all cuts in veg starting with the original seedplant.Its just too easy to do and you'll avoid possible problems down the line

Thanks BBlanco. That's what I wanted to hear. This is my best grow so far. I had spidermites issues before in my basement. I tried the closets this time. It's work out beautifully.
Thanks Skeltor. I pinched them last week watched the lower bud sites take off. I should have do that sooner. That's the main reason I was waiting till this weekend to take some cutting. Next time I'll do that well before timer gets switched. How about my yields Skeletor? Is it realistic?

i disagree the clones will take more time to root because they must revert back to veg.

both where taken as cutting's 1 wk into flower they took 6 wks to fully revert to veg and root, 1 on left is my bonsai mum the 1 on right is currently in flower now.

if you plan to clone do it now not l8r your plants wont have enough flower hormone in them yet so rootn clones should be normal, but wait and you'll spend time waitn for revert and roots. i changed the water for my clones everyday for them 6 wks it took lol.

now your yield unless your experinced in growing and know your strain there are to many variables to consider

thank major. i grew cali o once a few years back. i wasn't as experienced as i am now. i can't recall what it did. i got high though. hehe. the other strains i have no idea, only what i read. i like the breeder Dman. i made some clones yesterday. might make some more tonight after work.

I'm still hoping for 42-56 per, but I've made 16 clones and they're doing well. It's so easy. I'll probably make a couple moms and make 16 more clones on Sunday. I'll make additional cutting with my three new seedling. B52, Stargazer, and Ozghawi F1 but not till the end of the month. The seedling didn't grow as fast as the clones. (as expected so they'll go to flower on the 1st.) Any suggestions on yield now that you see the girls? (8 days from harvest in the pic)

yea dude, no way! your estimates would have been mine, except if you change those 9 inch plants into 2-3 gallons instead of the 1, that should take your yielding potential to the maximum. I assume your room is pretty much dialed since your operating with a 1k. So I would say no less than 2-3 zips from the larger and about 1.5 zips on the smaller. If you go with some 3 gallons, that might bring it up to about 2 depending on strains.

If these are class A strains then my estimates will probably be slightly low.

thank fuzzy lump. i did transplants the little ones to 5 gallon bags. they finished up at 20 and 24 inches. the pic of silverspice were the ones in the 1 gallon bag.
yeah, these stains are pretty good. the morning dew is a cross of endless sky x c99. the silverspice is orange spice x endless sky. the cali o is from nirvana and shishkeberry is shishkeberry x shishkeberry from cash crop ken. i know this, these clones should yield more. i've been topping and pinching. the current girls flowering were vegged under 800w. 400mh 400hps. these clones and seedling are being vegged under 160w fluros from agro sun. if they flower out and look exactly like my current grow i'll be puzzled. i would think the plants grown under the HIDs would have been bigger. but well see. the fluros were on 24/7. i'll change that to 18/6 next time. got the electirec bill today. ($221.24 $7.94 kwh)
