Sipping on water....

Quit drinking last week....

Kinda hard when you make your own and plan on opening a distillery...

Both on quitting drinking and distilling :tiphat:

I quit drinking before Thanksgiving, not a drop since.

I brewed my on beer starting in 1978.

My Dad and I made a number of stills which he wanted to sell, I made some myself.

My favorite was a 2 inch Refractory Tower which I mounted to a Electric Water heater with the Thermostat disabled. I could pull out 190 proof on one run using a digital control.

I also made "Pot Stills" of different types. My favorite Pot Still was constructed with 4 inch PVC capped on both ends with a copper coil running through with ice water pumped through the column. I used a pressure cooker to feed it.

Oh what fun.

What kind of alcohol will you distill?

I have been real spoiled with the mango kool aid product. They quit making it a while back and I am on my last pack of it, so I will be finding a replacement shortly.

Homemade Blueberry Mead.. Yumm! The women love it!!! ;) Blueberries drizzled in honey.. Been working a mead recipe for about 5-6 years now changin it here and there.. Last fall I decided I got it perfect.. made a few 5 gallon batches.. and in a one gallon batch I threw in about 2 quarts of blueberries... wow!!! Should have made a 5 gallon batch of the BB Mead!! ;) Big ups to all you brewers & distillers! Peace, DJSF

cherry coolaid and vodka,,,, mango next ......lol...got to keep hydrated for all the kayaking

pink lemonade & vodka, outside in the NYC burbs feeding the squirrels, skunks & raccoons that would come by for the peanuts my neighbors bought for them. husband Don was a driveway mechanic & wife Linda a high school counselor, they were a good 30 years older than us, we were drinking age but appreciated the company of pros ;)

we'd bring weed & consume tasty libations along with some roasted peanuts; they named 3 of the skunks, there was Petula, Charlie & then Petcha, the last one looked like a cross of the 1st two so hence the name. idk why but the raccoons never got names, and certainly the squirrels all looked alike, a good dozen of them would come visit the afternoon tiki lounge hour.......

Just finishing a Snow Wit IPA from Sierra Nevada. Hoppy (well, it's an IPA), belgian yeast, interesting grapefruit taste. Nice.
