What strain do commercial growers use?

Down here we are seeing alot of Crystal. I believe it's from Nirvana and it lives up to its name because it's absolutely covered in crystals. I'm picking some up later maybe I'll post a pic.

It's (Northern Lights x White Widow) x Northern Lights.

the quality of beasters(canadian mass) in general has gone down tremendously over the years. its so bad like everyone says... it is almost as badd. as that.. perfume brown commercial from back in the day.

I remember fondly back in the day 8-10 yrs ago i think.. when it wasn't just rock bud strains either.. but some of the most crystally stuff.. for regular heads it was the best the'd ever seen.. ever see..remember EC unless they had perfect homegrown. It was a little expensive(compared to today).. but the exchange rate great then too. for under 3gs ca = 2200 back then i think youd get something that would beat most of the local outdoor.. but not the best outdoor.

Man it was cool back before everyone knew about canada.. :) heh

wish it was still worth going to the reservation.

I keep hearing about Canadian commercially grown Beasters on this forum but quite honestly, I've yet to see it and meet anyone growing it up here. :chin:

I wonder if it is popular amongst the commercial growers in Ontario and Quebec?

if everyone grew they would have nothing to say about people from canada (wich by the way do quiet good)

so people stop complaining and start growing .

to come back to the main thread ; you ll have to find this by yourself cos with so many good strain on the market it s just a matter of finding what you like to grow .

white russian , blue moonshine , northern light , ak47, c99, bubblegum , sensi star .
all these ones r really easy to grow and give good result .
One last thing , it depends also on your own skills cos i ve seen people getting medium to low results with good strains so.......

it s all up to you m8.

all the best

Currently the market is demanding Kush around here. With people paying upwards of 600-1000$ more a pound for well grown kush.

Most are growing GreenCrack/Kush and many hybrids of kush.

thats my understanding. the people who are bringing in herb from east CA to the US are like hells angels types and other low down characters that are only out to make a buck. i'm assuming that the herb grown in wastern CA must be better on average.

also keifing bud has become standard procedure at some point in the distribution chain. that may big the biggest reason for the low quality of CA import to the eastern US. i think knowledge of that practice has spread a lot in recent years.

the current green mexican we're getting in NYC area has the Can. import beat hands down for quality of high and in many cases potency as well, and its nothing special. theres another thread somewhere that shows pictures of the green mexi and two types of beasters, all from NYC. that's a good representation of what i've seen personally on the market here in the last year or two. there was a point about 4-5 years ago when the quality of mexi relative to everthing else had dropped so low that people were almost giving it away. that's been changed now. sorry to be shitting all over canada, i know there are many excellent and dedicated growers there, unfortunately, i'm not getting anything from them!

What I want to know is how are people so sure they know where the herb comes from that they buy to smoke?

Simply using the logic "if it's good it's American and if it's not it's imported" has it's flaws. :pointlaug

If dealers are your source of information then you very well may have it backwards often.

Very few people on here accurately know the exact source of the indoor herb's original home. :fsu:

Serbian (mostly outdoor, like 90%) commercial growers still prefers different variations of Skunk. Big Bud was for a few years realy big thing around here, but now it is in decline. White Widow also, but the myth goes on, so lots of people believes that it's strongest strain ever.
Last few years Blueberry became very popular. So does the Soma's and some of Nirvana's strains too, but i think that next big thing gonna be the Mandala seeds strains, like Hashberry, Sadhu and Krystalica .

I love smoking my organic outdoor buds with people and they ask me if its hydro. They are suprised I smoke outdoor and then they are baked as fuck. People usually don't say what they are selling around here, its all $50 for a 1/4. Getting a little cheaper the more you get, and qp is $600-650. Ive never really looked into anything bigger than that in years, I know I wouldn't let a lbs go for less than $1800 prefer 2G's though.

One strain Ive heard over the years that will never go away is M39, people love that shit in Quebec and it is top notch just not for me. They grow it a bit here in Ontario too but not so much. Most people in Ontario get to smoke peoples homegrown, and the people usually can grow very well. Last week I was at a party and smoked some shit that kicked my ass tasted like berry and skunk, it was great smoking shit better than mine it don't happen often.

A University in Alaska can tell where the water came from that it was grown with..but how far away does my bottled water come from? IMO, the socal medical marijuana market has all of the best strains available..there is a legitimate commercial demand for high quality medicine. OG Kush and Bubba Kush are 2 of the best and most popular medicines...
