yeah i thought people that old can just lay down and give up and they will die when they feel like it. I've heard of a really old couple holding hands in bed dying together.

So obviously he still wants to live I guess?

I've stayed out of this thread till now... *shrug*

I feel for your relative. My opinion? No matter what the situation is, everyone deserves to be in the best state of health in body, mind and soul. Without that being present, nothing will be as enjoyable, decisions will not be as clear, output will be diminished. When the food is wrong, the body/brain chemistry is wrong and it affects everything you do.

Find out what their blood type is and feed them appropriately. Absolutely amazing for body and mind... which allows work on the soul.

I'll be starting a thread in a few weeks about a diabetic that just started choosing their foods by blood type. In only one week... a 10 year, type 1 diabetic has gone from typical sugar levels of 300-400 and up to 8 shots of insulin a day.... down to 92 with 3 shots in one day. All while eating like a horse.

Choosing your foods by blood type continues to amaze me... even after all these years. The D'Adamo lists have proven to be the most accurate and dependable.

Get em fit... so they can face the challenge of their declining years with as much of their original self as possible.

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

If he's anything like my grandmother, he wants to die. All friends are gone, she's now widowed. Really, it's only the Alzheimer's that's saving her. She's a handful of years the junior of the g-father in question, she's going to be 96 this summer. It's time. She has very little quality of life now, it would be much more merciful for her to meet my grandfather. They were married almost 75 years.

saw that happen once myself, my good friend Barry from Yonkers lost his dad to cancer, his mom just absolutely caved in mentally/physically and passed away 2 weeks later from grief.

I also know of a woman who eventually got caught by her husband for squandering every penny of his/her retirement monies @ our local casinos, from shame and despair she gave up the will to live and died about a month later.

I suspect in both cases some self imposed starvation expedited their journey.

I've noticed whenever I post in a thread that lost in a sea posts in I get unhelpful votes for opinions.

Strange... I can't imagine those two things are linked...

I thought opinions were personal and not subject to derisive judgement in normal society.

It sucks to be wrong all of the time but I'll keep trying.
