go with cold pressed kelp (bio bizz) + guano + earthworm castings. For an added bonus, make a tea out of them and add some molasses. For secondary nutes, I like to use Metanaturals 3-3-3 Pro mix.

That should take care of everything your plant needs, except for some love. Organics is the only way to go!!!

Fertilizers can be a lot more easy than many think. What ever happened to worm casting tea and fish emulsion and good ole compost?

I reckon they are all pretty much the same, it is just how u use them that will give you the results.

Good example is the lucas formula. GH have got their recommended dosages on their bottles but lucas changed these recommended dosages according to what cannabis needs nute wise and his yields and results went up.

I read up on the lucas formula and thought, hold on, if he can do it, I can do it. And in fact any1 can do it.

I am still essentially using the same nutrient this time round than my last grow but according to the manufacturers directions you are supposed to feed more Nitrogen than P and K in flowering. This time round I have lowered N and am getting better results already.

Same nute, different mixing schedule, better results.

Of course there are some nutes that will be naturally more geared to cannabis than others by just following the manufacturers recommendations...

But i think every1 should have a critical look at the nutrient amounts their nute contains. This site should give you all the info you need.

You know I agree, lol The way this poll and others have turned out I guess they are all pretty close. I think next grow will be with Pure blend grow & bloom(it's cheap) with GHN micro,L Karma, superthrive, hygrozyme,Carbo load, and either big bud or beastie bud got both. Of course if something is on sale somewhere ????

I'm sure this will cause a certain amount of controversy!

I just can't justify spending 10 times the amount of money for nutes, when Miracle Grow All Purpose, provides everything your plant needs, to go from seedling to harvest for under 6 dollars U.S. per grow.

Just my 2 cents...enjoy

Capt., I have much more expensive hobbies than cannabis growing, so it's hard for me to worry about spending $12 on a bottle of nutes.

However...

I cannot argue with that photo. Damn, Sam!!! She is a beauty. You da man.

Thanks for the compliment canine.

All to often, people get caught up in the hype surrounding any product, and are lured into purchasing the biggest and best of everything.

The point I was trying to make is: just because you pay through the nose for something.... doesn't necessarilly mean your getting the best money can buy!

Cultivating MJ is no different....if there's a market to make money, someone is going to exploit it.

My respects too all the organic and chemical fert users. I'm not saying all the products out there don't help grow great plants.

I just wanted to point out that keeping it simple can pay off as well.

enjoy

3town and I harvested 2.8 OZ out of our first indoor grow together, its great stuff, and we grew it on nothing but cheap old Miracle grow and Peters in Perlite/Peat soil.

I grew up on Organics(Hippy child here), and firmly believe that food grow by someone using Organics(who knows what they are doing) will be way more nutritious than the plastic stuff you often find at the grocery store grown on chemical ferts.

But you don't ingest MJ for nutritional value, so I would never sneer at a person who chooses to use "Salt" fertilisers. I choose to use them as little as possible, cuz I love Organics, but thats just me. A combo of the 2 methods may be the best way yet.

MG? Oh well, this has just 'got' to be a Photo Shop altered pic....hehehe
just kidding.......very nice plant!!
Only one on the list I've tried is Fox Farm & it seems to work pretty well for me. I'll have to try some of the others in the future but what seems to work best in the end is just don't over fert.
