I had a Sister Rip who adored Melanie ,played guitar and had her autograph.
So my house played Melanie for 3 years.
I saw her at Stevens Talkhouse in Amagansett.
Her son played guitar Beau.

Hell ya man. 80's music was great. More happy and positive. One thing I love about this thread is all the good songs you would never think of to listen to. Since I don't know most of the band names of some of those great songs this thread kicks ass.

Some of us are really into music. When I was in my teens music was a big deal. We didn't have smartphones, computers, social media, etc... But we had music. If you wanted to have a party it would take days to get the word out. There was no instant mass messaging.

Now don't get me wrong. I embrace technology. But I'm glad I had the chance to grow up without Facebook.
