What Makes A Master Grower ?

someone else's mastery shouldn't make you feel uncomfortable about yourself and your own works

see a whole lot of that going on here

there are many of masters, were do you want me to start the list?

however

masters didn't fall out of the womb that way, nor is it an impossible mark, but requires much time and dedication and is not as much a reward or gift but a simply reaping what one sows

the community that we have was built on the mastery of others that has been shared

plenty of things in this community that would not exist is mastery didn't exist

once again the fear and loathing of prohibition turns a normal concept into a cluster fuck of perception

A true master never knows they are one, as they know that they still know jack shit and have a lot to learn.

a great grower is a plant listener. They have spent years upon years watching plants and taking notes. A true master when asked what is wrong with another person's grow has to know every detail and actually study the grow. Anyone who tells you they know exactly what is up without seeing anything for more than a day is full of themselves.

A true master either had a master teacher, or is probably long retired or dead. There are plenty of great growers, but master by definition is well beyond most people's capabilities.

more like 30k+ imo, but depends on what your doing,, if you were growing one plant of the same line in the same medium then you wouldnt get that much experience..

You can't quantify it in hours, because one hour to one person is ten to another...or ten minutes to a third.

A master grower is not only recognized but sought out. A master is somebody who you are looking to find, who can solve your problems. IN all likelyhood it is the master who can choose you to know him and not the other way around. There are few masters who did not learn from another master and who do not repeat what has already been learned.

A master is not one who has learned all, but in some way one who has learned what always has been.

Hmm... I ponder the thought of, What is a master grower?? Not an easy question to answer. But, I'll give it a shot...

I thought about it a lil, and I have come to the conclusion that a master grower is similar to a master baiter.
A master baiter catches more & better, bigger fish, as a master grower grows more & bigger, better higher quality buds.:D:plant grow:

I became a Master Gardener in 2000, went through the Oregon State University Master Gardeners program. I had been in the plant and gardening business for 10 or 12 years already.
I'd say a master Gardener and a Master Grower are much the same. They are able to answer questions, guide gardeners/growers and are willing to impart their knowledge for the sheer joy of growing the plants we love, be it weed or dahlias. Master Gardeners are required to impart their knowledge to those who ask with out compensation, a Master Grower would do the same.
Seems to me that there are alot of Master Growers on this site, they give of their knowledge freely for the joy of growing plants.

I was just going over Heath's Tree thread again. I must say, when your buds are all bigger than your fucking bulbs, you are a master grower. Much respect to that mofo!

I don't believe there can be such a thing.Growers, farmers must adapt to variables, changes in ecosystems and whatnot,so how can one be more than a student when our planet is constantly changing?
