Any good ghani strain will do well, even in extreme conditions ( as long as ya dont dry it out). They take frost, turning dark purple, and are almost insect-pest free. They do better in the high heat and winds that we get out here in the west than most other strains we've grown. Have also done well ( at 3-4000') with jack herer, white widow, white rhino, cal orange, and nl x bigbud-- which yields particularly well. The white strains do seem to do better at our lower elevation(one thousand feet-300 meter) gardens. Afghani x superskunk did well, overcoming the pure superskunks sucking-insect problems.
Have had bad luck outdoors with haze variants: their low yield makes them a novelty item and they of course dont do well at altitude. Ditto for all strains of thai we've tried. They go hermie easily and yield little unless crossed with sump'n else.
Last summer I grew A11, Bubbleberry, and A11x ice princess from spice bros.
They all were pretty good outdoors bubbleberry was the best.
This summer I am trying Bogs sour bubble bx2
