What happened to federation seeds?

Oh....no doubt Spade. Grab the ISS if you can, although any strain by Fed. is right on track. The only interest I have is seeing fellow cultivators get the best Breeder stock possible. Federation produces consistent, amazing strains. If anything...their strain descriptions always seem to be down played by them. Kinda like..."We can only describe it to a point, grow it for yourself and understand the proof in the pudding."
The first few hits of ISS are ravishing. You feel an immediate temperature rise in your forehead. Gets good and hot really fast like a quality Haze. You instantly know it's potent medication. Lasts about 15 sec's or so. As soon as it comes on...it subsides just as fast....kinda like an inner physical tug of war between body and mind. Really puts you intouch with being a "being". Anyway, the ISS is a fat producer too. You'll never complain of skimpy yields with her. To find a high that matches desired production is rare. Buds are tight, not airy like many sativa dom's. Mikado would be a great compliment to the ISS too. Great for insomnia, but lets you decide when to call it a night. Mild aphrodisiac qualities with the proper dosage. I'm tellin you, Federation has MJ and it's correlation with spirituality dialed in. Good luck with whatever you choose mate.

yes, i would also like to know about the stock... im glad to know that fed seeds are still in business, but for how long? I really dont have room for some romulan or some mikado or even tHe iss cuz my room is full, but am definately lookin to grow them out in the distant future.

I never understood the hype about so called "Hawaian" crosses, but after reading all the positive comments on Federation´s version, I´m willing to change my mind.

A few months ago, I visited a "Grow- and Headshop" in Salzburg(Austria).

The guy there told me he got some of Federation´s "Hawaian Sativa" left, but obviously nobody was into buying those seeds(if I remember correctly they were not even that expensive...)

I´m gonna call this guy tomorrow, and in case he got some of those beans left, I´m definitely gonna get my hands on them.

I guess he also got some beans left of a strain called "Golden Triangle Thai".


I would be very happy about any detailed information on the HS.


I could imagin to grow them along with Seriou´s "Kali Mist" after I harvested my Satoris.

I have some HS I got through Rahan on OG. I also have the Jamaican and the Celestial Temple Sativa. Looks like I might have to do a seed crop next year with all the demand for it!

Indeed, this Jamaican is not the Federation's one, it's an inbred line from the jamaican polyhybrid sold by Hemcy.

However, the Hawaian and the Celestial Temple sativa are both from Federation. I think these strains are very good. I never had the opportunity to test their variability, I mean, I saw many individuals of them but allways in different grow conditions, so it's hard to say why we saw two phenos, after all, it may be due to our growing skills as well as due to a cross.

What I'd like to say is that if it has been crossed, then the breeder is a good one because it has been backcrossed a lot imo, the phenos are certainly not F2 phenos, even F3 phenos. They are only slightly different from each other, in last analysis, you know it's an hawaiian sativa or a cts; it's just that some finishes quicker, yeild more and smell more. It's more like the phenos you can observe in the Destroyer, which has been backcrossed many times with the Thaï parent.

I wonder if someone saved their golden triangle Thaï, that Federation was selling around year 2000. I allways wanted to buy it and when I decided myself, it was too late...

rahan out of all of hawaiian beans I got they were very uniform. some were shorter than others and a lil more resinous, but all in all they were very stable and I agree its either backcrossed exceptionally, or in bred. I have the story of hawaiian sat in the BBOB but I don't trust ed all that much honestly. but I don't think they said it was hybridized. but its been a while I don't really remember honestly. I'll check later.

Just found this thread on Federation today. I've got 3 different phenos of Hawaiian X ISS flowering now. I'll try to get some pics up later. I did manage cuttings on each pheno, and still have another 5 beans left. The phenos range from a more compact plant with a serious long central cola and slightly sativa shaped buds, to a taller, somewhat branchy, more dense bud, to a tall, lanky, branchy, very-sativa bud structure plant.

The tall one has the most incredible sativa buds I've ever seen in terms of calyx size and resin production at an earlier stage. It's definitely going to take at least 12 - 14 weeks. The smallest one is I think the most beautiful plant I have growing now, and ought to be ready in 9 - 10 weeks. The medium size one has this incredible exotic pineapple smell when you brush her.

I'm very impressed so far, just can't hardly wait to try some of these, especially after reading earlier posts in the thread. I'll put up some pics later today in the flower pixs forum.

Yes motaco, they say in the BBOB that it is not hybridized, but I don't trust this kind of books too.

At least, it's an outstanding strain: superb aroma and taste, nice high, good production for a pure sativa.

I think my 3 phenos range from the ISS to the Hawaiian Sativa.
The tallest one has a strong piney odor developing, the middle one almost tutti-fruti now, and the short beauty is more subtle, kind of skunky, slightly fruity.

Hi everyone,

I bought some beans from HempDepot back last September and they were an hybrid of Hawaiian S. X C.T.S.

I have sprouted 2 beans and got 2 females. I had both phenos, but can't tell which is leaning on the Hawaiian. One pheno has very thin leaves, grew tall (I had to bent it in my closet) had a typical "columbian punta rojo look" (see RedRider pics), incredible resin production and still had very large buds. The smell in not overwhelming but very sweet. There is in the smell, a mix of caramel/butterscotch scent mixed with a faint citrus smell. It was ready in 9 weeks and a half. I have cloned it and let her daughter live quietly under 2 X 26 watts Cool white CFL for about 2 more weeks. This future mom is already 3 foot high and can be cloned 14 times, now.

I have harvested 20 grams of primo buds (my closet is equiped with a 150-Watt HPS and an 80-Watts HPS) on this single sativa queen, at the end of November. The smoke is smooth like silk. Trichomes are so dense that even the needle-size leaves are packed with them.

I still have about 7 grams of this 100 % sativa non-ceiling-High-in-the-head-only-conversation-enhancer-no-couchlook buds.

I go every friday to a club to see my friends and since they've tried this pure sativa, they rush toward me and ask me if I still have some. I do, but i never sold them a single gram. It is way too pleasant to share and have a good time!

All say : "it is the best pot I've ever smoked". Some will leave the place because they are too high and just take a walk for an hour, to get their mind back from "space" lolll. Those friends are not experienced smokers, but they never felt paranoid, heart raced....

The second pheno has slightly wider leaves, a more skunky smell, rounder buds, a bit more productive than my first pheno. The effects are as powerfull as my first pheno, same uplifting to the milky way effect. no ceiling, definitely. The effects of this pheno is, even totally in the head, a bit more warmer, wrapping the mind like a ride in a rollercoster. Heart beat is higher, no paranoia, but be carefull, it is some serious head medicine. Excellent to change from a bad day feeling to a wooohhhh i'm so happy! anti depressant for sure. 10 week finisher. 24 grams under 230 Watt HPS single plant. I did not clone this one. It is still alive. I've harvested buds from bottom up since a month now. The main cola is still alive and it is huge. Diameter of a pop can and 8 inch in length. monstrous amount of trichomes.

this is a One-Hit-Sativa-Wonder!

I still have 5 more beans left of this Hawaiian Sativa x C.T.S.

Both pheno showed at the end, some very nice "foxtail", including the live main cola of my 2nd pheno.

As far as sativas go...nothing holds a candle to Haw. Sativa. But ISS is no step child. Hell, you can't go wrong with any fed. stock though. I don't care who they took it from or whatever....ISS hits the spot, and Federation has tailored an exceptional strain. This girl grows hardy and will hog all the light she is given. Bad idea to cultivate alongside any indicas. Fairly thick stems that do a reasonably good job supporting it's massive thick colas, but are easily bent and trained. Better to stake her though. Beautiful growth pattern, she can go untopped and still provide plenty of clonable branches. Cloning is a breeze and she'll root faster than any other. Very good strain to grow for beginners, but the smoke is anything but amateur. Very smooth going down, clean taste, with a unique cerebral yet mellow stone thats gets you there quick, but brings you back so gently. Wake and bake for sure. It's a smoke that allows you to be crazy high in the head, but reassured that no one else has a clue of your current reality. Leaves the mind sharp, active and very alert. All the while the body still feels refreshed, and unaffected. It's stupendous really!!
ISS does eventually take it's toll though. ISS provides the mind with such prolonged stimulation and no drowsiness.........the latter does catch up. After your high has worn off the body quickly reminds you that balance is they key, and periodic bouts of sleepiness follows. That sleepiness does serve a purpose though...reminding you it's time to take another hit of that ISS and start the whole process over again.

Aliennate, thanks for the description. My hybrid (H.S. x C.T.S) has a similar, powerfull, yet invisible to other effect. Some friends who tried it, told me that every thought is so clear, so focused, even if they are totally high from smoking this marvel.
