I know after wastching cops they say they look for some answer that makes them believe they have something illegal. i remember on some cop show they were saying they will ask you this question and they say people trying to hide something will answer it different whereas people not trying to hide anything will laugh and the cop will let them go.. anyone know any information on this?

to many people have fought and died for me to give up my rights so easily. ive never had my car searched by saying that, when asked to give consent. i just look for my ticket and or warning and ask to leave. and try to be as pleasant and nice as i possibly can.

dude u say "no, sir"...if one does have drugs one certainly shouldn't have weapons anyhow...just say "yessir", "no sir" and "i'm sorry, officer" when talking to cops during traffic stops...no small talk, don't start explaining anything either...nothing good ever comes out of chatting with the cop unless u have a pussy and some big tits...

You say no sir but you must fire off with a question of your own. Keep asking questions, it cuts outta his time. I'm not talking about chit chat stupid shit. I'm talking about Why and Can I go now. You best be on the ball if you pull this stunt. Dont be stoned. hehe

PS- If he asks you to get outta your car--roll up the windows and lock the doors as you get out and get that door shut! This eliminates him "smelling" weed.

that's a good point, seed...i had a piggie pull me over one time, i knew he didn't have a radar gun on me and hadn't followed me far enough to pace me...so when he told me i was going 55 in a 35 i asked him if i could see the radar gun and he got super flustered...then he started with this bullshit of 'why don't u just admit u were speeding and i'll let u off'...i never admit to anything, i told him it was possible i may have been speeding but what really mattered was i was going to drive slower on the rest of my way to work...then he was like huffing and puffing and told me to slow down and fucked off back to his pigmobile...i wasn't rude, i just asked him to see the radar gun b/c i know they have no chance without that where i'm at...

99.9% of people don't know how to answer that question, or any other question at a traffic stop.

Whoever said tell him no, and ask another question, like "am I free to go now officer?" will put him off balance. Keep him answering and you asking until it's over. Never give up your right NOT to be searched.

As soon as he walks up YOU should be asking the questions. "What did you stop me for officer?"

ALWAYS say "NO, I do NOT consent to ANY searches" when asked under ABSOLUTELY ANY circumstance. I don't care what you're hiding.

Be safe people. Know your rights. Don't answer their questions. They are looking for a way to get you to incriminate yourself.

Police are NOT your friend. Their career and advancement relies on them catching you with something. There is no "going easy" on you. If you're caught, they will hit you with as many charges as possible. Their only job is to gather evidence against you so the DA can lock you up. PERIOD.

what do you tell a cop when he asks if you are carrying drugs or weapons?

and def don't say "I refuse to answer that question on the grounds it might incriminate me" lol
that will only turn the cop from a neutral stance into an aggressive, negative one

immediately reciting your rights will only anger them into giving you everything they can (with the sound of rubber gloves getting snapped on)....cos you just made it personal...(but, of course reserve the right to refuse a search if all else fails)

the best way it stop them in their tracks with the right attitude and positive body language..as you turn the listener into positive mode ..e.g. get his mind off pot and onto thinking you are a good guy

"I'm have a licensed rifle at home sir, but I would never carry my hunting weapon in the car to go to the mall, i secure my rifle in a locked gun safe sir, I think we should spend more time and money on safety education for young people...how can I help you sir" etc

never smoke in your car. park it go, then go for a short walk

when a cop asks if you have weed in your pocket, concealing a weapon or have you been drinking?...he's asking that question to guage your reaction..he's looking at your eyes, your facial expression and body language..

and he's a pro who deals with liars and scum bags all day, every day..he'll make a decision right there and then based on what you do and say in the next 2 ~ 5 seconds which in turn will affect your future one way or the other...but with practice you will be able to handle the potentially arresting situation positively....practice on clerks, shop assistants, friends etc....read books on body language and selling..train yourself to turn situations around

one way is to speak first, immediately manufacturing a scenario "did you see that maniac?...(pointing over there) I was just attacked by a man running with a iron bar!....", or "I'm on my way top join the Army..but I've been having some doubts" or "Do you believe in the Lord Jesus is your savior?" etc whatever works for the situation...it's not so much what you say, it's how you say and present it.

use eye contact when answering as you hold your hands by your sides (not folded on your chest), when emphasising a point turn bend your elbows slightly with your palms gradually facing towards the cop to convey truth and honesty, also nod your head slowly up and down 1 1/2 times as you to emphasis a point..if you are tall and the cop is short, hunch down slightly.this stance shows you are a straight up and honest guy

but the most important advice is think ahead, be safe, be smart and clean things up before you light up (a trick I learnt in Thailand)....if there's an interruption, then it's nice to know you have everything clean and stashed and all you have to worry about is the jay roach instead of sitting there stoned with a messy table or seat, bud, papers and roaches everywhere! ... get clean first, then fire it up

if you have to drive around ...then it's best to drive first then go home and smoke up big..or smoke it up and stash your bud at home or in a hole and then drive around....4 or 5 young guys in a car at night screams " search with sniffer dogs! " to every cop that sees you.

This is the extent of the ENTIRE conversation.... "am I free to go? if not then I must be under arrest.. and at that point he would have to justify it... don't ask anything other than... "am I free to go?" or "Then am I under arrest?" then am I free to go?? then am I under arrest? then I must be free to go?? ok then I'm under arrest.

That is the extent

Peace....
P.S. If you have NOTHING on you... BE A REAL ASSHOLE TO HIM... WITHOUT CUSSING OR VIOLATING THE LAW!! if you have something... just say whats above as nice as you can... :)

Ummmmm the last time this happened to me I said " yes sir I have almost an ounce of pot on me and I have a glock 40 cal on my right hip." You should have seen the look on his face, but the next words where," but I have my med card and I also have a concealed weapons permit for the gun" which he wanted to see both. After that he gave me my ticket for going 52 in a 40 and told me I should slow down a little and maybe not carry so much pot on me that he could smell it before the window went down, to which I replied "never know when I'll need a big phatty" and told him to have a nice day, he told me to do the same and I went home. I have friends that tell me I'm crazy for how I act around cops, but hey I dont feel I should be scared of someone just because he has a badge, I wasnt breaking any laws, except speeding, so I didnt feel I had any worries, which I didnt. Got to love med states.

When cops ask you questions IE:
"Do you know how fast you were going?"
"Do you know why I pulled you over?"
"Do you have anything illegal in your auto?"
"Will you consent to a search of your vehicle?"

They are collecting evidence that CAN and WILL be used against you in court.
DO NOT offer anything that could incriminate you later.
DO NOT give them the tools to convict you of anything, even a simple speeding ticket.

The above advice is given through experience and backed up by my best friend who is an attorney and has successfully tried hundreds of drug cases.

I'll tell him no, but I do have some WMD's.

in reality, I'll say, no and you have no authority to make me answer that question, but I am doing so to be polite. most cops that enforce laws, don't even know the layout of the laws they are enforcing.

The police are allowed do pat you down for weapons. It is called a "Terry" search but not any further. Just ask if you are detained and if you are not you have somewhere to be and tell them you are walking away Do not just walk away.
