lol to even to be able to put a 9 second car on the track you got to have about 10k in safety shit

plus the 20k your going to spend on the motor

I built the whole car for 3k and I stomp all over vettes

I ran a 13.2 last month in the 1/4

Umm, he is getting a Toyota. It's just like how Ford owns both Lincoln and Mercury.

Toyota owns Lexus and Scion.

Good choice, btw. That thing should last forever (With proper maintenance  ).

Bah, you're right, sort of ;p still say get a car though, not a fan of boxy designs. Enjoy it though!

Jesus christ stfu 1/4 mile times are a joke!!! Take it to a fucking track, god damn! I bet you live your live a 1/4 mile at a time...If going in a straight line meant something everyone would buy cameros since they are dirt cheap to fill with horsepower god damn.

well tracks are better

but 1/4 mile times are good to compare to other cars since not all tracks are the same

it would be useless to say my track times

Threads like this always turn into performance reviews, I think its some sort of law of nature.

I drive a TT AWD manufactured by shitsubishi, and a light truck made by toyota in winter and for outdoor recreation type things.

I have an old Toyota pick up- vintage 1990. I got it as a hand me down though so
I have no opinion on buying new. Toyota's are good to get though. It has done nothing but good for me!! Get a 4 banger and save on gas!!

Yummy! Did you know that we have much in common? I have driven 2 different MR2's!
Both Bright red- and the first was the old style, 1985 model with a flat back. The next was a 1990 with a tail fin. I am in Yummies League! We are communicating!!

I have never actually driven a mr2 I don't like the 80s ones they kind of look ugly. I like the early 90s mr2s preferably the mr2 turbo they are fairly cheap to buy and look nice and should be pretty reliable and the turbo model should be pretty quick.

I don't give a crap about quarter mile times or whatever in my everyday driving conditions I won't be racing anyone or timing myself from stop light to stoplight. It's all about fun factor for me, good handling, steering, feel of the car doesn't have to have a million horsepower.

I have a porsche 944 which I really like not really fast at all but fun to drive. I was thinking about a golf gti mk2 16 v before getting my 944 they are also fun cars.

I just got a mazda 323 also right now but that's just my beater until I can fix my 944

for reliability and ease of maintenance I'd go with a early to mid 90s japanese car.

these days newer cars are so much more complicated and harder to work on. The mazda that I bought is ridiculously easy to work on compared to my porsche which is also a 4 cyl front engine car.

for cheap to maintain cars I think toyotas are number one. For one I'm pretty sure almost all toyota engines are non interference this means that the valves and pistons don't share the same space so if your timing belt snaps you won't get engine damage but on a honda if you're tbelt goes you'll bend valves and need to do a really expensive repair.

but yeah usually cheap to maintain = boring no fun car.
