still news, and it's just getting worse. over 30 known dead just in Buncombe Co. NC around Asheville. dams out, bridges out, water plants destroyed, shitloads of folks stranded, no power etc. brand new (3 years old) hospital nearby totally destroyed, patients/staff had to be evacuated by helicopter...roads in all direction undercut by water and caving in. right here where i live, we dodged a big fucking bullet. got some trees down, some power outages, no deaths, although we had 2 imbeciles wreck & both cars went into the Holston river close by. my boys (men) whined about picking up sticks in the yard until they saw the local news...
