Have fun at the shin-dig!!

Love to learn more about the Irish side of our royal hx. I recall we had some link to a Brit Prince as well, photographed in the Outlands of old N. Ontario, long, long ago, leaving me to wonder what he did to get banished like that. ;^>) Maybe a male Fergie?

I failed to reply re. the surgery. Yep. It happened. Long down the path to recovery, though with current limits. There's 2 medical folks on the planet, plus a bunch of support staff, that, despite 3 recent weeks of pinched nerve, I envision them all as walking on water with halos and white satin wings.

I refrain from hugging them when I see them, for fear it would freak them out. ;^>)

The later colonoscopy is over with, but results pending; apparently 4 areas with a biopsy called for, so waiting for the other shoe to drop. Either way, the Sun still comes up in perpetuity until it doesn't..

Back when my nose was more white than not, I had an acquaintance who lived by the motto, "Never buy it, never turn it down." I felt his presence. ;^>)

Any Scotch that goes down like water is one I need to try. I'm even starting to lean toward a silver/blanco tequila these days, as I find the taste a bit more distinguished and tequila-like, and it DOESN'T taste like BOURBON(!!!). Some of the anejo's are so aged and woody that you may as well buy bourbon. That's why I drink tequila... I don't like bourbon... ;^>)

Currently taking some good old RO H2O. A safe bet any time. As long as you can swim.

Tequila Buckfast and Cocaine slammers. Thats what she said to tequila. Poiteen here. Made from the finest Irish spud. No chance of going blind from it unless you are drinking in Connemarra and one of the locals gouges out yer eyes. There is still rough old wars in Ireland if you hang around long enough in any of the old parishes.

Glad the healthcare thing is going ok.. two tier system here, if your shit poor you might get care, if your rich you might too. If you are in between hold off on everything.

Dont be hugging healthcare folks, act all like ya dont need em incase they get too accustomed to moose. Not being cynical or anything but.....

Shindig should be good, they are a sound bunch of heads getting married in a community garden, without the slightest bit of hipster. Nice people nice place, we are not usually sociable but sure...

The Guinness (normal run of the mill cans now) seems to be working.

Might chug some run of the mill H20 so the head doesnt hurt in the morning, no RO here, but it is filtered through mountain limestone... no additives no system straight from the hill.

all the best mate, another sun rise in the morning..

Bombay Sapphire and tonic w/ an orange wedge and lots of ice. Probably my favorite all time spirit. What's everyones favorite Gin? In my experience, its like Cilantro. You either love it or hate it.

Only gin Monkey 47 with a Fever Tree light tonic, maybe a few juniper berries. A good bit of ice. It is like the absynth of gin, you'll trip if it hits you the right way, on the right day.

Gin bars opening everywhere here. Charging huge money per drink in a fancy glass with a bit o cucumber. We love gin when we are watching our weight.

I steer clear of most clear intoxicants, with the exception of good tequila and liquid LSD-25. Or water with any number of intoxicants dissolved in it. That's often safe too.

Drank a fifth (28 oz.) of Vodka at 15, and slept on a water-bed. Huge mistake. Self-induced sea-sickness, and I hadn't taken any Dramamine or similar. Never drank vodka again. Ever. Gin either.

The only intriguing thing I found with gin was the report that it was made from juniper berries, or could be. Having hiked in the mountains in the Yukon Territory where the little gray-blue silver buggers grow on wind-swept shrubs in the alpine regions, the prospect that the little berries in question were made into a substance that helped to fuel the Black Market during Prohibition, made me a bit interested, but not enough to actually drink it.

And odd as it is that we referenced IPAs earlier;

I was in the store the other day and grabbed what I thought was a Lagunitas Imperial Stout @ (I believe) 9.9%. (*1 of my favorite potent stouts). I kept it chilled in the fridge for the last couple days, and just got it out to share with my wife, without even looking at the label.

As the schooner poured more full, I noted it was not the color of a stout. So I checked the label. It's an 8.2% Lagunitas IPA!!!!

It's getting to the point I may need to travel with an assistant to make sure that I get through the day OK. Who knows where, and with what, I might end up otherwise!! IPA, indeed!!!

I guess we're drinking an IPA now.....

Moose I had a similar experience when I was around that age. Man kids can be stupid when it comes to alcohol! We were left alone in a house with a full bar and ended up taking 17 shots of random alcohol, but mostly Absolute Vodka. I still cringe when seeing a bottle of that vile liquid.

I remember the next morning stumbling down to the beach and diving into the cold, icy Atlantic. Best hangover cure ever.

I'm kinda surprised you drink gin.i can't stand the stuff.im more of a rum and whiskey guy.funnily enough my brother who doesn't drink much has started liking gin cause he says it helps his stomach cause of the juniper berries.honestly I think he's full of shit.

Drinking Natty Daddy 8.0 abv right now cause it's all I can afford.6.99 for a 15 pack.almost gauranteed to get you drunk as fuck.goddam dirty drink

Founders Brewing Co. 'Dirty Bastard,' Scot style ale, @ 8.5% abv.

Store in town ran out of this and numerous other beers we regularly buy/drink. They said it was a distribution problem for a bit, but didn't specify what the exact problem was.

Time for a water after this. If I stay in more water than anything else, more gets done. Observations over time.

A hair of the casa amigos that bit me....

Hmm . . . you're testing my Spanglish.

Is that a "hair of the home boys that bit you?" I'm imagining a second round of the booze your friends brought over, the stuff you all hit a little too hard last night.

Myself, I'm drinking the whiskey de la casa: a bit of lovely corn whiskey with just a touch of barley malt and some rye to spice it up. Mmmm. Goes good with the GG#4 in the hookah, but don't forget to water it down to drinking proof, dummy. I age it at 140 proof, but drinking it without watering it down will numb your taste buds for sure! 100 proof whiskey is great, but 140 proof burns like fire!

1-1/2 shots (a larger jigger, really) of Espanita reposado tequila w/ lime juice trickled over the top.

I'd pay $ to be able to sleep right about now.

Need to take a truck into town in the A.M. in ~5 hours. I can see this day adding up before it even gets here.

Dyssomnia sucks.

Good night, bad headache. No time for my two aleve and quart of water before bed.

That post made me chuckle a bit. Sounded funny once I re read it. Thx Cowboy. Off topic but you wouldnt have any leads on oversized muley bucks would you? Figured you might out runnin cattle all day.:tiphat:

I shouldve said all I drink unless I can get clear corn liquor with out fruit or flavor in it.
