To be honest I couldn't say as in comparison to using non reverse osmosis water. I'm afraid to use tap water because I personally figure that if tap is that bad for us then it would be bad for my plants but it definitely doesn't piss off my biology in my soil using rever osmosis as to if I were to use tap the chloramine and other shit would piss off and kill a good population if not all of biology in my soil

At 350-400 PPM down here in Tampa the main culprit is calcium,the tapwater is loaded with it.My dogs clear glass water bowl would have a thick film just days after using CLR.Too much calcium and your plants can't utilize magnesium so you are forever deficient.I always looked at the pics of mag deficient plants and what they emphasize is the chlorosis in the inner veins of the leaf but actually it can look a whole lot like a regular nitrogen deficiency with the yellowing on the outer edges.Changing to R/O and being able to control cal and mag totally changed the health of my plants overall.
