WET VS DRY Trimming

This. Weed that tastes like hay sucked to start with.

This is my wet trim almost done with the drying process. No way this bud could ever smell and taste like grass or hay.

If it has Cannabinoids it can smell like hay.

In fact, most bud today that people describe as "earthy" or "gassy" is grown too poorly to even smell of hay. I would rather smoke "chlorophyll" ( hexenol) than anything the dispensaries sell.

It's odd how the smell of lost potential has been demonized when it comes to GLVs, but not when it comes to the toxic off flavors.

The hay smell is an anaerobic bacteria. We hang them to ensure good air flow and no delay in drying. The opposite of drying with the leaves on. Hay is a heap of drying stuff, so you near always get the smell.

I chopped a branch off the wrong plant while trimming, so hung it to trial dry trimming. Again. Again the same result. Showers of good stuff coming off it like a blizzard, as I struggled to get the now shrunk and stuck leaves off. I gave up. It's only a quarter, I will give it to the needy.

I never try to collect trichomes from my flower. I try to keep it all on the flowers.
And if something falls off you throw it away out of spite?

I really don't understand all the hate against tumblers. Sure they knock a bit off and maybe it looks a bit worse. But then it's just 1 hour vs. 10 hours.
Taste and potency is the same.

That was trimmed with love. Not everybody appreciates it, but the care seen here, says a lot about your standards in general. Unless you did that just for the photo opportunity :)
It all gets trimmed the same at harvest, one branch at a time. Then I put it on the racks in the drying room. It never sees scissors again.

With decent bud flooding the market after legalization, my niche in the market is top shelf cannabis, in appearance, smell, taste, and effect.

Taste is not the same. No tumbler can even come close to my trim. View attachment 19118129
That is some beautiful flower.

The problem I see is that everyone wants to grow top shelf but the market is quite small. It's similar to wine or liqueur. Everyone talks about the nice, expensive stuff but 90+ % of the market is cheap and medium grade.

For my personal stash I value my time much higher. I know how much smell was lost during drying and curing.

Agree. The main market is screwed. Niche is the way.
It is a shame what some people think is a fair price to pay.. mainstream..
They wanna go cheap, no problem, but some have pride in their craft.

I don't understand why paying black market rates means better quality. Personally I prefer an open market where people attach their name to a product and get punished for using pesticides over a black market where mould is the norm.

The mold is people chasing the “ultimate cure”. They somehow believe that leaving their flower moist for a long time makes it “better”.
