Well water

So I had been having a health issue with my plants for awhile now. I did everything I could to dial in environment etc. I was damn near to the point of sending off hlvd test.

I saw a utube video about the effect of amino acids on calcium uptake and had a epiphany. I started adding a tablespoon of fish amino acid to every gallon of water and bam instant happy girls!! I believe the deeper issue lies in bicarbonate in my aging well water. Last time I tried to clean the water heater the bottom drain was clogged with scale.

I have plenty of rainwater collected but need to figure out how to keep it clean. I'm thinking I'm going to drop some LAB in the 250gallon tote and see what happens.

In the meantime I have been collecting all my dehumidifier water witch should be simular to RO and adding 1/8 of a teaspoon per gallon of full mineral salt.

I was wondering if anyone had a silmular issue and what you did to fix it. I'm sending off a water sample this week to see what is actually going on with my well water.

I have had problems mostly outdoors, perhaps because there is carbonate soil under the mound. I just opened a 3d in the nutrients and fertilizer section, posting my water analysis because I started to think that the problem comes from there...

I think I am going to have to send a sample off to loagan labs. I talked with a local test facility and he doesn't test for much more than if it's safe to drink.

Anytime water percolates over the ground it picks up the soil chemistry. If the soil is alkaline the water will be too. Water has a plasticity to convert in any direction. Well water can have a lot of impurities and block other nutrients from being absorbed.

You can keep rainwater clean if you cover it and keep the air and Sun off of it. I've harvested rainwater and stored it in 5 gallons buckets with lids in the spring and used them in late Summer. The ppm stayed at 17 ppm the whole season. Clean as a whistle. Just cap or cover your rainwater and it will stay clean.

If your interested in checking your well waters total Alkalinity. I have used these test strips. I also use rainwater when I can and need to add elemental sulfur to my living organic medium to keep my pH within a range the microbes can manage.

I overpaid. $39 to tell me I had 39 ppm copper.
