Peaceful trade? Yes. Trying to hide illegal activity behind a Medical Marijuana Law to maximize profits for personal gain, and not actually helping patients? A MUCH BIGGER YES!

Yeah, the number of dispensaries out here in CO have dropped dramatically too, mostly due to overzealous regulation...And from what I've heard, (((caveat))), those guys also got their paws dirty in Colorado's last wave of regulation...The resulting regs tilted things in favor of the well established, (often Cali-based), growers making it difficult for the smaller, mom-and-pop dispensaries/ growers.


It would be nice though if this show ends up "normalizing" medical cannabis...If the "public" saw how 'normal' (many) patients actually are, perhaps cannabis would not be as stigmatized...I hope they shed light on the vast numbers of sick people who are gaining quality of life from cannabis....But, I have a feeling my hopes are a little high...

thats got to be the WORST and dumbest idea ive heard on icmag in a while. You are obvioulsy just mad you have to be on live stream to LEO everytime you go to a dispensary. That sounds awesome?!? can you make mandate me to register with the state to grow as well, how about restricting who can grow and who cant, oh and your state works with the feds?!? wow you really have it good.... im mean i know CA is cool but gosh gee wilikers....

it gets shipped b/c the price is better outsideCA, and we grow a shit ton of it. Some is good some is great some is horrible. But its better than the minuscule amount of herb coming from the rest of the country, most of which that gets sold is non heady garbage as well. I mean in CA you dont even see mexi anymore (not that ive ever norcal baby) , yet most other states are still puffin TONS of that shit. Im sure the local head would rather get a sack of cali then mexi anyday...

So then you do not grow for patients? You grow for maximum profit. I got it now. We are on opposite ends of the spectrum my friend. I am not hiding behind a medical law so that I can ship product out of the State. The Cali outdoor that I see in multiple different States is not worth the price the locals in these places try to fetch. I have seen very nice Cali outdoor, but that does not leave the State. For the past 4-5 years everything I have seen outside of Cali has not been worth the time.

I would like to add that the reason you think this is "dumb, and the worst idea ever" is because the local price will drop, and all of the profits you have seen for years will be gone. Adapt or fail my friend.

i can't really disagree with you on the fact that the export game is what has given the feds a hard on for the situation in california.

on the other hand i am from colorado and i must be missing all the reasons we are a model of the future ..... unless you are gearing up for a future clusterfuck. there are good dispensaries here but if you think some of them are not selling cali outdoor i promise you you are wrong. the state has taken funds that payed for licenses and used it for whatever they want, they have listened to lobbies instead of patients and they change regulations and zoning issues at will.

i get what u'v been puttin down over the last several posts... but think u'r a little off-base. the 'medical' laws are here to usher in decriminalization & legalization... and everything we see for the system in CO is 'for profit', just as it is true anywhere in the US... or the world for that matter. people don't traditionally smoke weed for 'medical' reasons, but for the high, right? well that's true for 97% of the registered 'patients', despite having a qualifying medical condition where weed might help alleviate some symptoms of the mallady... super cool it does that too! but the demand is for recreational use... always has been, always will be, always been the driving force behind the 'medical' movement.

now i'v embraced the 'medical' nomiker... but it's just because i want some protections from the malicious prosecutions for enjoying the herb... but i still have no guarantee... even though i am 100% State legal by the medical laws... and by my dr rec. it's just a means around the csa criminal laws for everyday normal, otherwise peaceful & law abiding, people that want to enjoy the herb yet not go to jail. that's the super vast majority of us 'patients'. plain & simple. and if we don't grow, sure as shit we'll pay good cash to someone that does grow exceptional weed... that's the market place.

if you want to do some good for the movement, write some State laws that allows for open business transactions & competitions & standards... for a truly open marketplace. but don't think that a 'medical' status makes you more righteous than the other growers... suppose if you grew all the meds & truly gave it away for free to only cancer, ms, aids, alz, or ptsd patients, then maybe you can claim some superior status. in the mean time, we are all just pot smokers & growers, trying to not get our asses in jail.

and at least all the cali (and colorado) weed gets shipped everywhere else... well, it's not mexi brick cartel weed... and it because of our own domestic csa laws to boot... not because those smoker/growers are evil or anything. medical schmedical... big deal... no one should go to jail for the herb... buyin it, smokin it, growin it, shippin it... it's just the weed. write those laws bro! ;-)

none of those places stream their live feeds to the feds though, unlike the dispensaries in CO

and where i live there are no cameras in the natural food store and thats kinda the only one i go to , perhaps the bank but i keep most of my funds out of the banks, only use them for paying bills
