Weed Wars: New show on Discovery

There are so many bugs and pesticides in commercial weed should have a hard time smoking a joint unless you really know the person handing it to you. If you are concerned about that you better grow your own. I found an ounce or so of weed awhile back and although I couldn't see bugs in the buds I could not tell if there were pesticides in it. I still have that ounce sitting somewhere, but haven't smoked any of it yet.

even omri ones are not tested to be smoked or longterm effects on humans tested either


they say diff sprays, when smoked, leads to neurological damage

Chiming in late here.

For a small personal grower, this show is entertaining.... I was hoping for informative and eye popping, What I saw was comical and disappointing although I found it entertaining as well. Seems harbour side is pretty Mickey mouse for the amount of product they move.
I guess having watched a lot of pot Docs I expected a certain professionalism.

See where they take it, maybe they will chime into the feed back and we will see Krunch on the show!!!! I would enjoy seeing some Larger and Smaller grow shows, and a few different Dispensaries to compare too.

I really expected more from Discovery. But its sure as fuck better then nothing!

That guy(Steve DeAngelo) needs to lose the hat, cut off those pathetic braids, and start tucking his shirt in. If you want to be taken seriously as a legitimate medical service, at least try to look the part, because unfortunately a lot of people will judge you on your appearance, and if you look like a sherpa crossed with a flower child, some people have a hard time taking you seriously.

I know we should all be able to dress how ever we want where ever we want, but every time I see Steve DeAngelo, I can't help but think what a clown he looks like.

Completely agree. Unfortunately almost everyone that is "higher up" is going to judge you on you're appearance. 2-3foot braids, an old school hat and not dressing completely professional is not going to cut it to give off the right impression that is needed to taken seriously or to even be acknowledged as a decent person. Sucks, but thats the world we live in.

Also agree with the bit of them showing the guy letting his dog smell the weed and then proceed to say "she always picks the best kind". Doesnt come off as professional at all, which is what they should be going for.

If Steve and the other guy with glasses (forgot his name) would dress atleast like the guy with glasses does, or better, then people would appreciate it alot more. The employees as well should all be wearing collared polo type shirts and keep a fresh appearance.

Nevertheless, I like the show, just wish they would do a couple things different. Try telling Steve to cut his braids off to give off a better impression and he would probably go ape shit

I like the show.
I'm in a frozen nazi section of the US, stores where you can just walk in and look at a bunch of different strains and stroll back out openly with your bag seem like a fantasy to me.
One day I hope to live in a place like that, but until then I will keep my head down and watch it on TV
